  1. This is awesome.
@ about 46.00, He talks about the ‘Peer pressure’ on scientists to retain the Naturalist Metaphysics, and the absolute career destroying and Status destroying ostracism that terrorizes most scientists into never seriously challenging materialism.
I would suggest this same peer pressure functions in the philosophy fraternity, in relation to such things belief in the special character of the bible… esp its divine preservation etc, and this is why The belief that the bible is a flawed / mutated document is the position of the status quo. To claim otherwise is to incur the very same peer wrath and professional suicide.
This is why ‘Educated’ philosophers all preach the Bible is flawed… and it takes an ‘outsider’ to point out their errors, and assumptions.
You can see from this interveiw that even this brave man wants to distance himself from those ‘Genesis Literalist loons’
I also was happy to hear him admit that Theistic evolution is a contradiction in terms… that what evolution is… is a blind and unguided/ a moral natural process.
I think it is shameful that many so called Christian apologists pretend the theory of evolution is compatible with Christian faith.
Yet to be critical of these things is to be cursed by the ‘insiders’ to forever be banished from society… and considered a lunatic.

    I knew you’d like it, Tim. 🙂

Not all of them, Tim. Thomas Nagel is an honest atheist and very much an “insider”. (See here.)
