So there they are… my 20 choices for the 2026 Rock 2000… The greatest annual Radio Music Event in the world!
This year was a bit different for me… having left this ‘chore’ to the last minute I decided I would not get too caught up too deeply in trying to pick my all time favorite 20 tunes… as having done this so many times now I have woken up to the fact that that is *impossible*… because I have HUNDREDS of most favorite tunes… and many of them do not make it onto the Rock’s own song lists. Yes you can still choose songs that are not on their lists, yet they are virtually guaranteed not to make it onto the 2000 playlist because they will be outvoted by a million miles.
*Millions* of votes get cast every year.
So I decided I would just sit down and scroll through one of my Spotify Library playlists, and browse a few of my previous Rock2000 lists… pick 20 songs I like… and hit *send*…. and BOOM!

As simple and painless as that, and I can now sit back and wait for the greatest month of Radio rock music to start 23days, 21hours, and 12 minutes.
This will be awesome… as long as bloody Foofighters don’t win!

Thats one of the great things about music. We all have out own Favs, likes and ‘can’t stands’.
It’s subjective so there are no right or wrong answers.
Sometimes we like a crappy song because it reminds us of great times… or we dislike a fantastic song… because it reminds us of some negative bad buzz.
That’s how life rolls and for many of us Life defiantly has a soundtrack… mine all being epic Rock Ballads… hahahaha!
I have enjoyed this whole process for many many years and we are about to kick it off again for 2026!
