Paul Walker. Not just another Norma Jean.

vin_diesel_paul_walker_the_fast_and_the_furious_003

News of Paul Walker’s death has flooded the net and facebook, and I must confess to being cynical about all the fuss.
Not knowing that much about him, and not really being all that much of a ‘Fast and Furious’ fan, I was thinking that all this hype was kinda silly, and that he died being a bit of a stupid bugger… just another Hollywood.

I was thinking that the prime mover of what fans were really upset about was not that a person was dead, but that they were driven by *Envy*… they were pissed that *Someone who had the world at his feet*… some one with Money, Fame, and Sex Power was dead…. so young… so many Babes left unslayed…. so many bags of blow left un-snuffed.
Yes…. most of these bleeding hearts change the channel when ever their local news reports about ‘ordinary folk’ dying in their own towns and villages.
Fickle as.
Paul Walker…. Just another Norma Jean.

guy

I should not have been so jaded…
The truth is…. for better or worse Movie stars and Rockers do play a significant roll in ‘us plebs’ lives… they enrich our sometimes mundane existences … they add poetry and dramatic effect to our experiences, and they give us visions and dreams.
And personal success and beauty are indeed things to be admired and enjoyed.
Most importantly I forgot that Famous people are ordinary people too…

rip dad
Paul Walker has left behind a grieving Daughter….

The more I think about this the more I begin to see that it is more likely my cynicism which is germinated from envy.
Maybe it is because it’s easier to appreciate the value of human life …the waste…. the loss… the tragedy when a Rich, beautiful, and famous person dies…. than when a Starving Ethiopian dies many people probably think they are better off! ???

Rich… Poor.
Famous…. nobody.
Old… Young.
Black… white.
Male…. female….etc.
Death makes us all Equals.

What I now want to talk about is an Irony.
It’s both a great pleasure, but something that also adds extra grief… there was more to Paul Walker than merely Looks, Talent, fame, fortune,…
Indeed he was *the Full package*…. he was not only outwardly handsome …. he had depth of soul… he was a caring, charitable, Christian.
Praise the Lord… this makes his death even more tragic…. the world needs people like him.
He died while engaged in charity work for the Philippines Typhoon relief.
Which in itself is a testimony of a humanitarian.
What-more… according to Ray Comfort…. Paul was also a man who shared the Good news of Salvation and Eternal life through Jesus Christ!
He was a cool Christian!

From R.I.P Paul Walker

“Many people know Paul, but not everyone knows his story. Paul Walker has traveled around the world helping those in need after natural disasters. He was one of the few celebrities to donate over $2.5 million dollars to people who were in need of shelter and food. He was a true hero.

“I’m a Christian now. The things that drove me crazy growing up was how everyone works at fault-finding with different religions.”

“The people I don’t understand are atheists. I go surfing and snow boarding and I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, ‘Who couldn’t believe there’s a God? Is all this a mistake?’ It just blows me away.” 150,000 people die every 24 hours. Those who repent and trust alone in Jesus have everlasting life.”

ross mRoss Meurant: The case for decriminalisation.

NZ Herald 21-6-11

What simply does not work is the system of severe penalties for producing, transhipping and selling substances deemed illegal.

During my first four years as a National MP I initiated four policy papers, three of which were ultimately embraced as party policy.

But the fourth, to legalise drugs, failed miserably.

By the time I articulated my views on this subject in my second book, The Beat to the Beehive, I had wimped out under internal National Party pressure and merely articulated a case to study, in depth, the consequences of legalising cannabis, and to consider changes in that direction.

Privately I argued all dope should be decriminalised and now, 10 years later, I believe the evidence I gathered is as valid as ever. My case in 1990 was based on research done during my last few years in the police. As an inspector and university student I had high-level access to police data and an academic interest in drug crime.
The research suggested that perhaps 50 per cent of all crime in New Zealand was drug related. The data – which I collected in the Auckland police cells and extrapolated as a hypothesis across the country – covered arrests for importing; supply; possession for supply; thefts, burglaries and robberies for drugs or money to buy drugs. Possession for self-use brought up the rear.

It was obvious that a high percentage of serious crime – such as bank robberies, kidnappings and serious assaults – had a drug-related theme.

Gangs needed ready cash to make down-payments on large imported caches, addicts needed cash to feed their habits. Then there was gang warfare over territorial distribution rights and retribution over payments not made.

It occurred to me that the police workload might be reduced substantially if the drugs people fought over, killed for, and died protecting, were dispensed through government-licensed outlets – just like alcohol.

It would be possible to establish the names of all who entered government-licensed stores to make legal purchase of substances we presently deem illegal.

This record of “users”, those who used hard drugs such as heroin, could be placed on a register for treatment and counselling from health professionals.

Drug addiction, like alcoholism, is a sickness. It should not be treated as a crime – although penalties for abuse in a public place would be part of the armoury of the state to protect other citizens from those who took drugs lawfully but caused a nuisance. This is what happens now with alcohol.

The question of young people being vulnerable is no more potent a concern with drugs than with alcohol.

Alcohol has an impact on perhaps 75 per cent of crime, and much road carnage. It is not good for your health, nor does it have spin-off benefits for the community.

Yet we as a society tolerate continued advertising of alcohol as a desirable cultural characteristic – and why? I suggest it is the power of the brewery lobby and the recognition that prohibition simply won’t work.

cutegothgirlwithpotsofmarijuanaplants

The best way to control alcohol use by young people is not to make it unobtainable but to impose draconian penalties for misuse, particularly where the effects of misuse are manifest in a public place or impact adversely on others.

Zero tolerance with drink-driving for people under 28 is my start point. Overnight in a police cell for street drunkenness is another bottom line.

The rationale being: abuse of a substance lawfully available is where the penalties should fall and not on supply or possession, which effectively stimulates a black market and underworld.

This same rationale I suggest could be applied to drug use.

What simply does not work is the system of severe penalties for producing, transhipping and selling substances deemed illegal. Whether it be the death penalty, life imprisonment or examples of many past and present profile cases where mere “mules” let alone people higher up the supply chain are imprisoned in foreign jails with terrifying reputations.

All these and other attempts to prohibit possession and use of drugs through a punitive approach to the supply line have failed.

Instead, the policy has spawned drug barons with the wealth to own private armies which deliver terror to the doorsteps of politicians, judges and police and by this corruption govern entire states de facto.

At the same time, the impact of the drug trade on the world economy is massive.

Recently, former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan acknowledged that the international war on drugs had failed.

Others suggested that the international community (a euphemism for “someone else – not me”) revisit the question of legalisation.

It is my contention that the pain to society of trying to protect a minority from themselves is disproportionate to the benefits to society.

No Free Will = No Moral Responsibility. William Lane Craig

“And God made man in his own image….”
When God made Man he not only formed his body out of matter, He breathed ‘spirit’ into him and he became a living soul… a freewill moral agent capable of making real choices… not a robot slave of Materialistic determinism.

freewill

Atheist delusions leave mankind not only without any Objective morality, but also renders him incapable of making moral choices… whether Evil, or Heroic.
Atheism has no explanation for consciousness.

Heroic deeds like that of John Shear only deserve praise because they stem from the heart… ie He chose to endanger himself for the sake of someone else *when he could have just stood by* in safety and watch the Horse do it’s worst.

What is truly shocking is that there are many so-called ‘Educated’ Modern Christians who are embracing this anti-free will Atheist Materialism!
They must have rocks in their heads not to appreciate the fact that Monist Materialist Determinism is absolutely incompatible with Biblical/ Christian morality!
God cant judge sinners who had no choice but to sin.
William Lane Craig makes this point clear.
The Bible is Dualistic…. it is emphatic about the greater Non-material Spiritual Reality.
The Morality Of God and Bible is built upon these Truths.
Free will is a testament to our inner Spiritual Being…. and proof of God almighty!
This is because Freewill is inexplicable in materialistic terms and conditions.

And Libertarianism is utterly dependent upon free will… voluntary acceptance of the Justice of the philosophy of equal God-given inalienable Rights and liberties.
Atheism is fundamentally corrosive to the Philosophy of Liberty.
It is deterministic and Nihilistic… whereas Libertarianism is not Lawlessness, but depends upon Objective moral absolutes.

Ayn Rand Didn’t Understand Capitalism. Or Altruism. Or Christianity. Or Reality. JOE CARTER. Acton Institute Powerblog

rand self

There once was a time when I was enamored by the philosophy of Ayn Rand. An émigré from the Soviet Union, the influential novelist and founder of Objectivism had an enthusiasm for market capitalism and a hatred of communism that I found entrancing. I discovered her two major philosophical novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, in my early years in college as I was beginning to wake from my enchantment with liberalism. I was instantly hooked.

Rand’s ideas were intriguing, yet she harbored sentiments that made it difficult for a young Christian to accept. She was an atheist who despised altruism and preached the “virtue of selfishness.” She believed that rational self-interest was the greatest good and sang the praises of egoism.

In retrospect, it appears obvious that any attempt to reconcile these ideas with my orthodox evangelicalism was destined to fail. Still, I thought there might be something to the philosophy and was particularly intrigued by her defense of capitalism. My understanding of our economic system was a rather immature, though, and I failed to recognize that Rand had an almost complete misunderstanding of capitalism. She confused self-interest with selfishness.

Hero John Shear 92.

Watch this video!

At 92, John Shear can still pump out 30 pushups every day at the gym. But the man is hailed as a hero not for his unlikely strength but for his brave heart.
Shear has worked as a guard at the Santa Anita Park racetrack in California for 51 years.
He was keeping his normal watch two years ago, holding a rope across one of the gaps in the paddock fence as racing fans of all ages gathered to watch the horses moments before they took to the track.
“Then I heard someone shout out there was a loose horse,” Shear said.
He shouted to everyone to clear the way.
“I went to one side and when I looked down, there was a little girl standing there,” he recalled.
That little girl was Michael Key’s daughter, 5-year-old Roxy Key. Without thinking twice, Shear jumped in front of Roxy, shielding her from the horse that was barreling toward them.
“Before I could even think to even move, here comes Mr. Shear,” said Michael Key, remembering that fateful day.

shear
The defining moment of a man’s character. John does not hesitate to put himself in between the charging horse and the little girl… The Child of complete strangers.

“I knew I was going to get hit,” Shear said. “I thought there was a possibility I was going to die but you cannot stop and think should I or shouldn’t I. There is a five-year-old girl. I’m 90-years-old. I have had a life. She hasn’t had a life. You got to save that life.”
The horse ran full speed into the pair, knocking both Shear and Roxy to the ground.
“She got up and I was shaking. I was in shock,” Michael Key said. “And she’s like, ‘I’m fine, papa, I’m fine,’ and then she looked over and saw Mr. Shear on the ground and there was blood hemorrhaging and she lost it, she just lost it.”
Shear remembers that moment. “I heard her say when her dad asked her if she was fine she said, ‘Yes dad, I’m all right.’ I felt better that she was safe.”

John Shear… I salute you!

It is hard to believe that there is a growing Atheist philosophy that argues that reverence for such selflessness is evil… and that to just stand by in safety…and watch ‘shit happen’ to other people… is an act of liberated virtue… the so-called ‘Virtue of selfishness’.
Talk about a twisted mentality… a Rabid loathing of Christian values
Objectivism is a direct attack on the theistic foundations of inalienable rights, and Christian ethics such as the Good Samaritan.
Objectivism also has the audacity to plagiarise many Christian Ideals like Rights while denying this theft, and then try and say that rights are an atheistic concept and that ‘religion’ is anti- rights!
Talk about serpent lies.

Spiritual Warfare. The Great Controversy.

evo christ war

This is an old and valid….(though a tad simplistic I admit) Christian argument which is simply showing that the Modern regression in morality is founded upon both the acceptance of Atheist evolution and the rejection of Bible based theistic Christianity.
I say it is simplistic because some of this ‘liberalism’ has in fact been real progress because it has removed bad Laws… and as such should in fact be supported by Christians… like the End of Prohibitions on Homosexuality, etc…)
Many Christians have been taught by ignorant and bigoted preachers that such reforms are evil…. when infact Christianity proper is not about oppressing sinners and infidels. That has historically been a great evil which resulted from the merging of Church and state…. Constantine…. etc… which was a deviation from what Christianity truly is… a voluntary association… not A political lobby for Power.

This is not to say that Christians ought not to participate in the democratic process, but that they must take care to be on the side of Liberty and justice… not tyranny and oppression.
They must seek to be ‘the salt of the earth’ not by despotic Laws…. but by Example and preaching Christian values and inspiring voluntary endorsement of their beliefs.

This picture also attempts to show Christians why they must be prepared to directly confront the False religion/ pseudo science of Evolution…. because it is the foundation of so many lies and Great evils.
It was when I realised that Evolution was Bogus, that I became much more open to the truth of the Bible…. because The idea of God crating Mankind began to make much more sense.

PoliceBrutality

This video not only highlights the blatant criminality of police violence agianst protesters, party goers, etc, but also reminds me of the Cannibals case of Jan Molenaar who fired on New Zealand Police officers executing a ‘routine’ cannabis search warrant at his house at 41 Chaucer Road, killing Senior Constable Len Snee and seriously injuring Senior Constables Bruce Miller and Grant Diver. A neighbour attempting to assist the police was also shot. Read about that >>>here<<< I was thinking that Pot smokers and their friends, neighbours, and families have become so submissive of peaceful people being violently fucked over by police under the pretence of the 'war on drugs', that we are shocked when One man chooses to defend his own liberty from a corrupt Political tyranny.
