‘Single Use’ shopping bags! How Socialism turns virtue into vice.

Some one I know was at their childs school purchasing Schoolbooks for the new year when another parent struggling with a Big stack of stationary was asked if she would like a bag, it was then that my friend said she had plenty of bags at home and asked the school staff if they would like her to drop them in, yet they declined her offer exclaiming “Oh we dont used plastic bags at this school!”.
Obviously this was part of their ‘Conscientious Environmentalism’.
‘How virtuous’ one might think… ‘Great example for the children!’ one might think… and yet again… how disingenuous given the ecological fact that the more often a plastic bag is utilized… the less wasteful… the more ‘environmentally friendly’ it becomes… when you do the math… so this school is *Not* really acting conscientiously but is actually ‘not thinking’… I think thier no plastic bag policy is simply pretentious ‘virtue signalling’ and pushing a populist Liberal anti-plastic bag agenda… which has managed to get the New Zealand government to impose a freakish prohibition on Supermarkets using ‘single use’ plastic bags to carry groceries from the counter… yet you can still put your various veges into their own plastic bags… etc etc, and now for 15 cents you can buy Plastic bags that are far more substantial than the old ones with handles and Big Word ‘REUSE, REUSE, REUSE’ printed on them! 😀
Its just plain weird.

The whole thing is absurd and I am sure that mathematically this new prohibition has achieved less than nothing for the New Zealand environment… and yet no doubt there are thousands of Anti-plastic bag Liberals who are gushing with delight when they see the thousands of socially engineered Shoppers using hessian baggies to transport their purchases to their Fossil fuel burners.
And of course this is only the beginning of theses Environmentalist lobby to use Government force to impose their personal values on their subject Neighbours.
What will be their next target? Disposable paper cups and straws have already been targeted… what about Disposable paper towels?
They are already hard at work trying to discourage people from buying Meat and dairy products, and are lobbying for Tax increases on these things as we speak!
This is how Socialism works… how socialism despises Freedom… and encourages Taxes,Tyranny and oppression to grow… all under the cloak of virtue… ‘Saving the planet’… etc etc.
And absolutely nothing is safe from their Self righteous gaze.

“Who Cares!” a Woke Vegan might declare!
For the Masses of zealous Eco-warriors they have little concern for how they achieve their goals… to them ‘the end justifies the means’.
To them if Government crushes *their values* and refuses to impose *their whims* ‘Government is Evil’, yet when Woke Party political people wield the power and they use it to Crush the values of those they despise… all of a sudden ‘Government is Awesome!’.
Socialism is all about Power and Control.
Their ‘Woke’ agenda is that they hate the dairy and Meat industries and want to force everyone into becoming vegetarians, and to do this they go to extreme lengths in their propaganda to demonise these things and make out that they are on a crusade for ‘Better Diets and Health’ when in reality they simply want to destroy their ideological enemies… people who enjoy Steak and Ice cream… and there is no extreme to which they will not stoop to Legislate away our freedom to choose for ourselves.

Yet Let me state for the record that Socialism *is immoral*… Socialism is *Anti-virtue/pro-slavery*!!!
Walk with me a while and i’ll explain how Socialism can take Good Values and turn them into the evil tools of oppression… it can take virtuous ideals and make them the tools of Evil powers… and this current plastic bag ban is a great example.

Now I know of a good and decent person (whose name is not important for the purpose of this monologue) who from reading and watching all the horror stories about ‘Massive floating islands of plastic waste in the oceans… photos of Fish and birds with plastic items trapping them, or carcasses on the beach with plastic spilling out of their entrails , etc (some of these images are obviously Politically fabricated for propaganda purposes) she has become very concerned about Plastic waste in the environment to the degree that she will wash out all the plastic packaging from their household usage, and store it all, and then travel to wherever necessary to ensure it is either recycled or otherwise ‘ethically disposed of’.
Even though I believe New Zealanders suffer a gigantic amount of deceptive Propaganda about Environmentalism, I would never suggest that her concerns for the environment are not of themselves virtuous, or that her activities and self imposed disciplines with respect to plastic were not completely within her rights so to act… and that as long as she was doing these things voluntarily… even if some of her behavior was not actually achieving *any real world benefits to the environment* … she is absolutely within her right to try and live her life according to her own values and the dictates of her heart…That is what having personal values and beliefs are all about! That is what *self responsibility is all about* … and this is what a free society is all about… having a society of enlightened self responsible citizens who voluntarily follow virtue!
And ultimately… if by any means the world is to be saved from Evil… That is how you go about saving the environment!
Multipy this type of personal voluntary action, and that is how you have a population that does not need a policeman in every bush to prevent them from littering… or Government Laws to prevent them from making poor choices when they shop.

And a Year ago… when she was voluntarily bringing her own carry bags to the supermarket so as to avoid using the plastic bags they provide for convenience… she could claim that she was acting *Conscientiously and Virtuously*… but not now… not since the Labour Green Governments silly Ban on shopping Bags… because the Government has taken away any virtue there was in this activity, and effectively turned it into an act of involuntary slavery… and Virtue is a matter of Conscious action… not compulsion.
A year ago some supermarkets (like Countdown) were picking up on this populist environmental feeling and had decided that they would voluntarily stop using plastic carry bags!
Ie They acted *without the need for a government Law to be imposed*… and though this did impose some inconvenience for shoppers and some would not have appreciated that, many others like my environmentalist friend I have been talking about would have been greatly pleased by this and no doubt would have switched shops to do her shopping at Countdown… a perfect match of Capitalism and happy consumers… which because it was mutually voluntary… and involved no coercion… *this form of getting rid of plastic carry bags was completely within the Libertarian paradigm*… completely within the requisites of virtue… and showed that Social change *can and does happen without socialist Government intervention*… *yet of course the socialist Liberal Eco-warriors of The Labour and Green Parties have zero respect for Liberty and voluntary action* and effectively *RUINED* the progress of Freedom by imposing a nationwide ban on plastic supermarket carry bags… taking away from Countdown their ‘voluntary Progressive decision and point of difference with other supermarkets’… and now These political parties act/ ‘Virtue signal’ that *their use of political power has made New Zealand Cleaner and Green* when in reality our country was already moving in that direction *without prohibitions*… via voluntary conscious action.

These are the very same Socialist Political parties that have the cheek to think they are experts on Adult behaviour and the principle of Consent!!!
Everything they do… all their policies are anti voluntary action… Pro-force… anti-consent.
Multiply this Anti-freedom… anti- Voluntary action… anti-consent mentality and activity across the board and you easily see why Socialism is oppressive and tyrannical and functions by coercion… Not enlightened voluntary actions flowing from enlightened values.
It generates a Nation of Slavish zombies… whose actions are not truly virtuous at all!
A typical example of a virtue {Environmental concern) being used as a pseudo-moral justification for Evil Political parties manufacturing evil and oppressive laws.

And Like I said above this modus opperandi is constantly at work… constantly looking for more apparent ‘virtues’ to turn into political weapons to rob their enemies of their Freedom and to further their Party political ambitions.

And the bitter irony is that despite all the brainwashing about Global warming… all the eco-indoctrination going on in the School system… and all the pretentious Veganism and ‘Woke signaling’ we see, These Liberals can still be found *Littering* on our Beaches and roads!
This is because they have not been instilled with virtue… but have instead been lobotomized!
This is the un=expected consequence of Socialism’s attempt to circumvent personal values and Voluntary actions.
A society of Less personal virtue.

The Notion that ‘the end justifies the means’ turns out to mean Any supposed desired end can be dressed up as ‘Good for society’ and then used to pass Despotic Laws.

Libertarians already know all these things, and so my post is mainly hoping to reach out to ‘Woke folk’… eco-warriors, feminists, etc to show them how their values and ideals are being contorted and fooling them into supporting Tyranny… as surely a foolish Christians have been duped by Politicians into supporting tyranny against gays, Prostitutes, Drug uses, etc etc.
This is the *vice* I am referring to… the vice of supporting Totalitarian Government that tries to circumvent Liberty and personal virtue substituting these with Compulsions and prohibitions.
This is what I mean when I say Socialism systematically turns virtues (and values) into vice.

I despise being ‘Socially Engineered’ by Nasty politicians who have Zero respect for my Rights.
I constantly shake my fist towards the Beehive when I have spontaneously decided to ‘duck in’ to the Supermarket and get a few things only to realise I dont have any re-usable Bags with me in my car… yet a mountain of them at home in the cupboard!
Blowed if I am going to buy another 3-4 Hessian bag, and so I end up staking loose items in the dirty Boot of my car and drop a few in the carpark!
All this because of arrogant politicians want to pretend at being virtuous!
Via their Evil politics they can turn otherwise good intentions and values into a great new Evil… because a virtuous ‘End’ cannot justify *Evil and Oppressive means*.
The only virtue any individual can be credited for or take self esteem from are their personal voluntary actions and ideals.
And just because I oppose oppressive environmental legislation does not mean I dont care about the planet!
It means I believe in Liberty and seeking to make the world a better place by Reason, enlightenment, and *converting individuals* to following virtue.

I am a Christian who holds Christian values and beliefs, yet I know that Christian virtues cannot be imposed upon unbelievers by political force, but can only be legitimate when voluntarily embraced by those whom have herd the Christian arguments… and believe them in liberty…. for this is *the only way* true virtues like charity work!… from the heart! So Social welfare is *not Charity* because it is funded via involuntary Taxes… It is the opposite of charity… it is a counterfeit charity of the Devil… so too is the current Ban on the use of Plastic shopping bags a *counterfeit virtue*… Socialism is a Counterfeit Morality…. Satan appears as an Angel of light… and Laughing spreads his wings.

The Sophistry of Ayn Rand. Selfishness. A conversation with Prodos Marinakis

Ayn Rand’s ‘The Virtue of selfishness’.

It is my opinion that while she is correct about the Ideals of Capitalism and Freedom, Ayn Rand’s philosophy ‘Objectivism’ takes individualism to perverse extremes and in so doing has committed great disservice to the Libertarian cause.
She was a Megalomaniac says the late Nathaniel Branden, and by my reckoning… a Narcissist… and her cult attracts a high percentage of Disciples with similar Sociopathic tendencies.

Unfortunately The reputation of Objectivism has become entangled with that of the Libertarian movement.
Having usurped a position of authority in the Libertarian movement Objectivist teachings and character have caused the Libertarian movement to stink… All the High Ideals of Libertarianism have been sullied because of the delusion that Libertarians are selfish and dont give a toss about the poor, and as long as this is how the Voting Public veiws Libertarianism… There will never be a Libertarian Government elected into office.
Objectivists tend to drive out other types of Libertarians as it takes a very thick skin to bear their Obsessive derision of Religion and glorification of egotistical arrogance.

The accusation that ‘Libertarians are selfish bastards who dont give a shit about the poor’ is a characteristic easily assumed by Socialists and others who have the unpleasant misfortune of talking with an arrogant Randiod Egoist.
Though it is a terrible accusation… this sort of Critisism is often received by an Objectivist as a badge of Honour to be worn with pride! They think concern for others is a vice.
They assume they are imitating their Glorious master who teaches them to be absolutely impervious to the opinions of others.
Central to her Philosophy is also Militant Atheism…’Religion is the root of all evil’ type mentality that is not only overt, but also needs to be appreciated to understand that her Individualism is underpinned (and distorted) because of her Atheism.

Ironically I was prompted to write this blogpost critisising Rands contention that ‘selfishness is a virtue’ after having a Facebook conversation with an Objectivist who shares few (if any) of these common Objectivist traits, and is prepared to Diverge from Rand’s Rabid Anti-theism… Australia’s Colourful champion of Liberty… Prodos Marinakis.
From his comment below you can see for yourself he is willing to be honest and critical about the Objectivist movement.
He’s a very likable Guy.

As Facebook friends I saw one of his posts on ‘The political Compass’ which is a better ‘graph’ on which to plot peoples Political persuasions rather than the ridiculously simplistic Far Left to Far Right Linear graph that is adored by the Mainstream who only seek to maintain the two party system.
These ‘Left and Right’ parties dont like the ‘political compass’ because it outs them as anti-freedom Authoritarians.

Having answered a questionnaire to ascertain his political leanings… the result was plotted on the compass. Below is Prodos result…. and I’ll let our conversation carry on from here… yet for the record I myself am a Bible believing Christian and an Independent Libertarian activist.

I’m not surprised by your result Prodos given how highly you regard Rand.
I think she distorts peoples views about the virtue of Charity and the vise of selfishness, whereas I highly Regard Jesus Christ and St Paul… and it will be no surprise to you that I usually register as a left leaning Libertarian.

And yet now having completed this test (above) I too have come out a Right leaning Libertarian … making a mockery of my earlier comment… 🙂

In fact We virtually got the same coordinates…[ Both Libertarians rather than Authoritarians …I was slightly to the left of Prodos… yet still on the right side of the spectrum]

Like me you were probably uncomfortable with the Direction of some of the questions and were forced to make some choices without the opportunity to explain your reasoning…

I’m very glad to see that we got such similar results. You are more surprised by that than I am, since I believe I understand you, better than you understand me.

Well, to talk about Ayn Rand (or Jesus) and not get bogged down, it helps to have specific quotes and to also put them into the proper context. True?
Personally, I consider Charity to be a virtue — provided it’s not tainted by the Kantian notion of altruism (which, despite the modern Church’s reliance on this evil concept, is in fact a post-Christian and anti-Christian invention of Auguste Comte from the 1830’s).
As for “selfishness” as a motive … that term, in Ethics, usually refers to a bad motive.
Calling someone “selfish” usually means that they’re benefiting themselves — even when it’s at the expense of others. And they’re benefiting themselves in a way that’s indifferent to other people.
Yet, there is nothing in Ayn Rand’s fiction or non-fiction that advocates or esteems THAT kind of “selfishness”.
On the contrary, being “selfish” in the Ayn Rand sense — as she explained in The Virtue of Selfishness and encapsulated in her saying: “There are no conflicts of interests among rational men”.
Not to mention the whole model of Free Market Capitalism.
It is true, however, that Objectivism tends to underrate the value and virtue of Charity.
When a writer uses a word (or an expression) it’s important to understand what THE WRITER meant by that word (or expression).
When Jesus says “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” … we need to study what Jesus meant.
For instance he didn’t mean (as one of my colleagues recently argued) that Jesus is a supporter of taxation and “Big Government”.
(better leave it there for now as I have to cook dinner!)

Prodos, I think you have a better grasp than the average Objecitivist because you differ from the average in two aspects.
1. You dont have an innate hatred of religion and so you dont ‘need’ to ‘prove’ it is ‘Evil’… and that gives you a far more objective view when discussing such matters, and (2) this is a corollary (or complimentary) of the fact that you are not afraid to diverge from the Orthodox dogma of the Cult.
Now One of the reasons I accuse Rand of Sophistry is because she trains her disciples to Bastardise the English language by arrogantly abandoning accepted meaning of terms… Re-defining words to mean something other than what they have been historically understood to mean and then proceeds to pretend she can prove the whole world was wrong … *and that she is some sort of Mega-genius* when in fact she is a fraud who has literally re-written the rules.
…often giving terms the very opposite meaning… and most importantly… she has ‘Pre-loaded’ the new meanings so that they will now appear to mathematically add up to the conclusion she wants to achieve… eg ‘that selfishness is now ‘a virtue’…. Objectivists dont even speak the same language… they are disconnected from the historical dialogue and dont even realise they have been swindled… mainly because they share Rands hatred of Christianity and are consumed by their own Egos… and think they too are super geniuses… ‘John Galts’ far above the average savage…. This is not the mentality of ‘Objectivity’… but a type of psychosis that blinds the mind of those who are not aware of what game she is playing.
Now though I know what her nefarious motives were… to discredit Charity… esp religious charity … therefore casting a devious lie to destroy faith in the goodness of Christ and the Christian faith… I can entertain her ‘Revisions’ and understand her silly definitions of ‘Rational selfishness’ vs ‘Irrational selfishness’ …(obviously by her reckoning the historical meaning of selfishness *was this irrational selfishness* and nothing more… not independence… not self-reliance… not self responsibility… and certainly not slavery to the collective!), yet her distortions of Egoism and selfishness, and twisted ideas about altruism as a form of slavery rather than voluntary Individual virtue of charity have contorted the average Objectivists views on Capitalism and Voluntary community Action.
Objectivists are always praising Blatant *Greed*… Rand has crippled their minds so that they are incapable of forming moral arguments that condemn Largess by CEOs at the expense of the well being of the average worker … because the average Objectivist cant understand that simply because a person may have the liberty to act a certain way… that this does not of necessity make it Just, or wise, or of Good character.
Likewise Objectivists tend excuse themselves from supporting worthy voluntary associations and community activities under the pretense that to ‘feel obliged’ to contribute is some sort of ‘psychological slavery’…. yet if any free society is to function it will rely Heavily on exactly these sorts of virtues and voluntarily self imposed moral duty’s.

These are my thoughts on why I suggested that On the Libertarian spectrum I would expect myself to be to the Left of you (Prodos), though I appreciate you are not ‘the average Objectivist’…. yet still your thinking will be ‘coloured’ to some degree by Rands Bents.
I have seen many of your posts that I have enjoyed very much in particular many that could not have been written by the’average Objectivist’ because they are Antireligious-lite… even commending… and that is not a common trait in the Cult.”

I think think he is is a very interesting, and intelligent Man… a Champion of Liberty… a Man of Reason… who in my opinion avoids sycophantic Rand worship.
Someone a Christian can have a meaningful discussion with… free of petty conceit.

Despite the fact that Long Blog posts are unpopular, I do need to make one further clarification, and that is to say that though Christianity regards Charity as one of the highest virtues, and that People tend to associate this as a mentality common among left leaning political supporters, that it is a grievous error to automatically assume this means Christians ought to be socialists!
The notion that Christ was a socialist has been around for a long time, yet was systematically propagated and grew predominant among Western Christians in the 20th century when Communists infiltrated the churches and began to systematically sway Christians into supporting socialism… despite their Nations Prosperity,Freedom and capitalism being founded upon Christian protestant political reforms and values of Individual Rights, Private property, Hard work, Thrift, Voluntary charity, Honest Free-trade, etc.

This is quite a complex conundrum to untangle, yet when properly understood the confusion and false teaching gives way to definite clarity and broad understanding.
The Key is to understand the dispensational scheme of the scriptures and how things fit in properly with the plan of God.

Reading the Bible there are verses in the Gospels, and early Acts that appear to the unlearned to support the idea that Jesus was anti-wealth and promoted ‘Communism’… yet such an interpretation fails to take into account what Jesus was offering the Jews at the time, and that these instances… such as when he told the Rich young man to sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor… and follow him… are not representative of the future Kingdom Christ had come to establish but was a special time of transition … from the Kingdom of Mammon… into the Messianic Kingdom of God on Earth whereby these injunctions were tests of worthiness to enter his kingdom… repentance for rebellion and sin… and a willingness to forsake the gains achieved under Mammon.. wealth… power… social status… and to enter the kingdom ‘Naked’… fully trusting that Christ would reward them when he had overthrown the Romans and established his rule in Jerusalem.
And here is the real Jam: Christs Kingdom will not be a Communist Utopia!
There will be private property!
The Lazy will not reap the harvests of the Virtuous and hard working, etc!
So the Important thing to appreciate about Christs Message to the Jews at that time and his injunctions to Sell their possessions, and have all things common, and to Turn the other cheek, and to endure persecution unto the end were not instructive of how his Kingdom would function… but tests of Faith and repentance… ie to be found worthy to enter his Kingdom The Jews had to have faith Plus works!
When this is understood the claim that Jesus promoted Socialism collapses… and is exposed as a wicked false doctrine used to deceive Christians for Evil political ends.
Sadly this False doctrine has been very successful with millions of Deceived Christians voting for Big Government Nanny State socialist Tyranny instead of for Liberty and self responsibility guided by personal ethics.
How Ironic that these Christians fail to see they are unwitting supporting Leviathan… enthroning the all powerful State as God… Mammon!

I saw the party as becoming little more than a propaganda machine to further the Atheist Cult of Rand… I had already walked away from it by then.
Fanatical Objectivists have convinced themselves that by coining the phrase ‘Egoism’ that they can escape the the accusations of Egotism! another example of Rand’s Sophistry are work!
Egoism… self worship…they say is the highest Individual character trait!

New Zealand still needs a Libertarian Political Choice… yet if this is ever to rise again lessons need to be learned from the Objectivist Dominated Libertarianz party.
If a New Libertarian party is to rise it cannot become a recruitment tool for the Cult of Objectivism… Rands Philosophy cannot be adopted as the last word on Party Policy… and certainly Objectivist Intolerance towards religious views or Charity… cannot be allowed to set the tone of Party Literature and conduct.
A far more Libertarian and enlightened Character and charter needs to be set and presented to the voting public…one in which Libertarianism is expounded that shows Liberty is far more compassionate and Humane than Socialism ever was… and when you Look a a guy like Prodos Marinakis and his moderated style of Objectivism compared to the Rabid Rand worshiping Egoist and Millitant Atheists… the contrast is stark.
Its the difference between an enlightened and Tolerant, and thinking Libertarian… from an indoctrinated Fanatical Zealot of a God hating Cult of selfish arseholes!

This Caricature of Rand and Objectivism may be an exaggeration yet it is not wholly Unjustified as anyone who has had anything to do with the Objectivist movement will tell you… and you can read about just how delusional Rand was in person by one of her closest and most dedicated disciples… Nathaniel Branden… Read “My Years with Ayn Rand”.
When Judgement day comes for Any Rand she will be exposed as a fraud… In Reality she was not Great at all but a Delusional Woman full of the worst Character traits… and her toxic beliefs bring out the worst in those that are deceived by her.

Fortunately there are some New Zealand Objectivists and Libertarians who share the same virtues as Prodos… those that are prepared to think for themselves more and quote Rand less.
Any New party would need to maintain a separation of the Church of Ayn Rand and State… as much as a separation of any other personal ideology.
This is where hope lies and could be the basis for Cooperation between Libertarians of all persuasions.
Getting things all in their correct context and this way Libertarianism will have a much broader appeal… including winning Christians and others out of Socialism and into supporting Freedom where they ought to be. The following argument has been in my mind for decades… ever since I was converted from Atheism to Bible believing Christianity.
I am not a trained academic or Logician myself, Yet have attempted to solicit dialogue on my conjectures from several ‘Trained academics’ yet so far have had no response.
Thus I have never received any Rebuttal that might dissuade me from my conclusion… simple Atheist assertions that ‘God does not exist… or Satan does not exist’ are not arguments but groundless (and in my opinion erroneous) claims, and this post will attempt to prove the idea that even if I cant say Satan’s existence today is knowable… that at one point back in history of all reality… his existence was a certainty.

The following is an expanded form of my assertion, just to lay down the framework/ context of my contentions plainly.
That I say Satan’s existence is a Logical necessity is based upon the Title Jesus Christ called Satan… “The Father of Lies”… ie Satan *invented Lies* and deception… or at least he was the first *to actually lie*… and this brings up the principle of non-materialist *Free will*.

Christ calls himself… The Way… *The Truth* and the life and the Bible says that *all things were created by him and for him*, and many Infidels who cannot get past their notions of Determinism therefore argue that ‘if the God exists… then *God himself* is responsible even for Satan’s lies… because God made Satan, yet as I have already said they are unable to accept any notion of any created being having autonomous free-will that may differ from the ultimate will of God himself.

Yet the concept of Free will is fundamental to Christian Morality… It permeates the whole Bible from the very Beginning when God commanded Adam not to eat of the forbidden fruit, and it is what makes us *morally culpable* for our own actions while exonerating God for giving us the Liberty to make choices … for good or ill.

“…And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Gen 2)

The Fallen Angel Satan entered the garden and deceived Eve… Adam then chose to disobey the commandment of God Almighty and ate of the Forbidden fruit… and then tried to blame God for what happened by saying “… And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.” (Gen 3vs 12)

Yet God was not responsible for Adams choice to mistrust and disobey God… even though God did create *the possibility* for Adam to so choose… It was Adam who was the free will moral Agent who made the choice and that is why Adam was morally culpable… and God without blame.
God is completely within his right to so order his creations of both the Angels and Humanity with the *potential to sin against him*… Not making us *mere robots*… but True *Children* whose love and ongoing obedience to his Divine rule is not something imposed upon us by our nature… but something *real* and special… and moral… none the less this requires having so ordered things that *the potential to rebel against God* was an inescapable necessity to the dynamic of being able to freely submit to his Sovereignty.

So Like the temptation of Mt Everest in the distance calling vain Men to their doom… trying and Conquer its peak… so to Did God create *the potential for Evil*… for Rebellion… yet that was only as a counterpoise for Freewill love and submission.. not because he *wanted* anyone to rebel… yet still to have *Loving Children* rather than Robots… God Deemed this risk to be worth it… and their would be few honest people who would prefer to be like Ants… wholey driven by their instincts and physical drives, than to be as they are… with Freewill to determine their own lives and activities… Taking credit for their own virtues and successes.

Now I have laid out the groundwork, I can address the main point of which the Title of this post… God Created The Highest Heaven… God Created The Holy Angels and that was When Satan was ‘Lucifer’… the highest Angel in that Order of beings.
I have already explained that God created them with Freewill and gave them the scope to exercise this essential component of their being for which they were created.
An unknown length of ‘time’ passes, and then God Created ‘the Heavens and the Earth'(yet not Mankind)…. and it was sometime after this that Lucifer became jealous of God… and desired to be worshiped… and that is when Evil grew in his ‘heart’ and he chose to Rebel against God.
This is when Satan decided to start telling lies… To corrupt many of his fellow angels into following him instead of God Almighty.
So While the *potential to tell lies* had always existed in counterpoise to being able to tell the truth…. Satan was the first Being to *ever exercise* that potential… he became ‘The father of Lies’.

and it is here that I now posit my Logical challenge… We exist in a reality in which *Telling lies* is a fundamental fact of Human existence… liars exist… Down here on Earth Lies are a currency as often traded in as the truth, which of necessity raises the question… who… in the entire existence of all reality… was the first being to ever tell a lie?
We know that because lies exist today that somewhere someone back in eternity past *must have been the first Lying being*… and it is this Being The Bible calls *Satan*… the Father of Lies.
Satan is therefore a Logical necessity!
And Satan is the Being responsible for Bringing All Evils into the world… even though We as Freewill moral agents are responsible for our own choices to follow Satan’s lies rather than trust in God Almighty.
This is a fundamental Dynamic to our existence!

Some Atheists may say… “The father of Lies must have been a human being”… I admit that this ‘Idea’ is worth contemplating… yet when you consider that there is virtual universal consensus on the conjecture that the Human race has not existed for very long… and that even the Earth has not existed for ever… and that Most Atheists also harbour Ideas that we are probably not the only intelligent beings in the universe ( that this is a belief for which they dont have any more *Physical evidence* for such alien beings than I do for Satan seems to escape them… they base their conjectures on no more firm unproven rationale than I do for mine)… yet still does not their own conjectures make the notion that ‘the father of lies’ must have been a Human being uncertain?
Could not *another being* that pre-dates Humanity have told the first lie? (He would then be Satan!)

And then Atheists have an even greater problem… *How lies*… or even *telling the truth*… can even be concepts… if we exist in a Purely Materialistic Reality in which everything is inextricably locked into a chain of physical causation right back to the big bang?

Night of the Long Knives: SJWs Running the Internet are silencing critics and systematically undermining free and fair elections on a global scale

When Donald Trump beat Hillary Clintion and started dismantling Obama’s Fascist agenda shockwaves rippled trough the Internet.
Why?
Because the Political Candidate that the Admins of Google+Youtube, Twitter, and facebook endorsed and wanted to win (Hillary Clinton) lost!… and they realised that their own creations were a primary cause for their own defeat, and they took the Trump victory as such horror they envisioned the end of the Socialist Dream and Human Civilisation!
All their hard work deceiving the world into embracing Climate Change.
All their hard work imposing their anti-christian views on sexuality, all their dreams of a Global centralized Socialist Government etc looked like they were going to be set back 20 years…
This is when they abandoned any pretense to respect for free speech and open dialogue and determined that *Next US election* they would be better prepared to shut down political debates that were not in their own interests… and not just US elections… but they would control information on the Global scale.
Google searches will Bury Websites, blogs, memes, photos, and articles that are anti-left agenda, and would instead put pro left propaganda to the fore.
Facebook will simply axe whole pages they see as being anti-left platforms for their opponents, create Alogorithms that can read memes, and hunt out and automatically ban photos, memes, articles that have been flagged by their SJW minions and spies that infest the internet and political forums.
This is more than just the usual vetting of malicious content… its a massive escalation of definite suppression of dissenting opinions to the political views of these Social Media/ Internet Mogals.
A flexing of mussel designed to slope the playing field, giving massive advantage to their own opinions, to the degree that they will be manipulating the democratic process as surely and effectively as any tyrannical Government censorship.
And Facebook is not an absolutely ‘Free enterprise’. as Governments have heavily invested in Facebook shares.

To those of us whom understand the essential nature of having open dialogue, Alarm bells began to ring out when this Cabal of Internet Lords, all Banned Alex Jones and his ‘Info wars’… virtually wiping him off the map.
Jones was instrumental in the Trump victory as one of his most ardent supporters with a large global audience, and attacking Hillary Clinton as a Criminal and traitor.
Jones would talk daily on Items of importance… like the Bundy ranch resistance to the BLM, The Murder of Lavoy Finicm by The Black opps ‘Hostage rescue team’… things the mainstream media refused to Air.
The Mainstream media and Hollywood are also largely under control of Rabid Lefty Nutbars and they too engage in a program of keeping the sheeple in the dark.

Now I wont deny that Alex Jones says and does some pretty whack things, and that many of the ‘Investigative reports’ on Infowars are considered by many to be nothing but delusional conspiracies and ‘Fake news’.
Also I am a person who is myself disgusted by all the patently dishonest content on the internet flowing from legions of sites and blogs, and individuals with very bent opinions about everything… many of who mass produce Photo-shopped images, and fabricate patent lies about their political enemies… and in this dirty business it is the Right who i say are the chief offenders, and in this sence it should not be surprising that this mass-dishonesty by the Right has added fuel to the rage harboured by the Liberal Internet giants, it has also given them the pretext to begin their heavy censorship program… feigning a legitimacy to their Machiavellian schemes… and they used the notorious Alex Jones as a posterchild for what was about to follow.

Then Zuckerburg made his move and shut down 800+ facebook pages with millions of followers… mostly Anti-liberal agenda sites… under the pretext that these sites prosper from and disseminate fake news.
There was no warning… no discussion… it was a Night of the long knives action… fast, clean, and soon to be forgotten… while normalising the Idea that Anti-liberal opinion is ‘Hate speech’ and ‘fake news’and as such can rightfully be suppressed.
Of Course these actions would have caused Champagne to flow like water among the Lefty Parties, and hordes of Purple haired social justice warriors who have zero respect for any notions of fairness, free speech, etc and whose whole political means of action involves Compulsions and prohibitions.

This is the new puddle of stink that we all must now swim in… the Internet has changed… dramatically for the worst. Freedom is the victim. Satan Laughing spreads his wings!
And this is just the beginning… they will come for the Christians, They will come for the Mens Rights groups, They will come for the likes of The Leuren Sotherns and Stephan moloneuxs … who dare to challenge the Anti white propaganda of the left….. and Libertarians and bloggers like myself.
And just as insidious will be the *fear* this activity will generate among internet users who witnesswill drastically reduce what they share, and what they dare to say fearing that their pages could be shut down without redress at the whims of Facebook administrators…. All it takes is for a single Nasty purple haired Female SJW to ‘take offence’ at a comment or post that they dont like and to report you to the FB gestapo.

As a Passionate Voice of Dissent against Ideological evils and activities of both the Right and the left I have suffered an increasing number of these types of attacks, despite being vigilant and quickly blocking people who make it clear to me they are a SJW and are ‘Triggered’ by something I have said.
I have learned to move quickly to their profile and block them… hopefully before they have run to the Gestapo… one time I was too slow, a Joke I told on a Mushroom Identification page ‘Triggered’ a Purple hair thing (I wont assume her gender 🙂 ) and I was sent to Facebook Jail… for telling a joke!
This is not equal treatment but special privilege!
You can tell jokes about how Dumb Men are… but not any jokes about Transgenders, or SJW Neofeminists, etc…. another recent case was when I was commenting on an ENFJ Briggs-Meyers personality type page (I took the test and it said I was ENFJ Type) , and my comment was on the topic of Briggs-Meyers when some Purple-hair thing told me flat I was not an ENFJ because she had seen my previous profile pic and because it was a Meme-joke that mocked Neo-feminism… this was all the proof she needed that I was too ‘insensitive’ to be a member of *Her caring personality type!*

I dont have time to explain in detail what then transpired … it is enough to say a bunch more SJW Woman showed up and within a day of this, I had been thrown out of the group, and had my picture reported to Facebook whom quickly said It violated Facebook community standards and was Deleted.
Remember that I was not even discussing politics at the time this Attack started.
It was simply enough that It was my profile pic that the SJWs had taken offence to and got me thrown out and reported to the Facebook Gestapo.

One more example I must share, It will take some explanation, yet it is worth it because it is very telling about how frightening things have become at facebook… and how powerful are their methods to screen everything that everyone is saying, and to crush anything that goes against their agenda, while leaving any BS that serves their purposes.
Below is another pic I shared in one of my photo albums, that is actually an example of despicable Right wing doctoring aimed at provoking anti-left sentiment. And they specialise in this particular type of photo doctoring that changes the message on a Protesters placard.

Now it is only obvious to see that this picture has been doctored when you see the original, and I was taking it at face value, and had shared it to my page, when I read in the comments that followed that this was Doctored and the original was provided.
Of course I was peeved at this deception, It was not the first time I had gullibly shared a picture that had been doctored by the Right, and so Determined not to be so easily fooled again!
I noticed a pattern in these deceptive placard pictures that is also a dead giveaway for fake News articles in that if the Picture is too overt… or the Headlines of the ‘Newspiece’ is also way over the top’… then it is highly likely these things are manufactured Propaganda designed to doop the naive, and generate outrage.
Of course this should have been obvious to me before I had shared these things… yet It just goes to show how successful these dirty tricks can be.
Pissed off at the dirty tactics of the Right this time I created a photo album with the title of ‘The Right is as full of Dirty Liars as the left.’… and it featured this doctored picture, and I placed a description with it that said “I foolishly shared this photo thinking it was a *Real self-loathing white Lefty*… which it actually is… *Yet the message has been photoshopped by a dirty bastard Right winger who added in ‘Killing all’.
This is despicable deception… the sort that has ruined the internet… filled it with lies!
Designed to generate outrage and hate….”
I also shared the un-doctored Original so that my readers could see the obvious doctoring (photo shopping)
All was great… I was starting to populate my new album with more examples of these despicable Right wing deceptions when My Page was frozen by an automated program that had detected the doctored pic and told me that my Picture violated facebook standards.
Remember I had not put this pic in my album to *Spread the lie* but to expose the lie… yet the automation did not give a toss about that! It was simply ‘obeying za orders’ programmed into it to search and destroy this pic where ever it had been posted in Facebook.
I was however given the option to ask for a review… which I clicked… and was told this process would take about 24 hours… anyway much to my surprise my picture was restored!
And it was accompanied with the reply that the Review process found that my pic *Did not breach facebook standards* and that they had made a mistake!
Now it is not a long bow to draw that my picture had been reviewed by a living breathing Liberal SJW Facebook censor who realised I was using this picture to put the hate on the Right wingers… whom Facebook are trying to destroy… and so all of a sudden this picture was acceptable!!!!

All of a sudden it Did not breach their community standards!
This shows they are patently discriminating against the Right, while giving anything that is anti-right licence to kill! and has nothing to do with ‘Community standards’ at all!
And This copy remains as we speak in my photo album for the world to see!
Yet when I try and share it from my album, It gets sniped again by the search and destroy algorithm!
You can try this… copy the pic above and share it on your page and I guarantee you will get a visit from the Killbot.
I have also received links to reports that Facebook has been developing the software to screen *Every picture and meme* that gets posted… so they have absolute control to censor everything and anything, and that this is what they are doing.
I have had other attacks to my page too that affect my ability to function as a Libertarian Advocate and critic, yet this will suffice.
Multiply all this by Billions of times and the net effect this will have on the democratic process of western societies is mind numbing to apprehend!
The Masses of Facebook sheeple will be receiving more and more propaganda of the Left… with less and less voices of descent.
I fully expect to have my page shut down in the near future, yet until then I will be exposing this corruption!

Now this post is already ridiculously long, and maybe no one will read it yet I must make one final point… and it has to do with the solution to this Tyranical Cabal of Left wing Internet monsters.
First of all it is worrisome that many who suffer the oppression of the Facebook Gestapo will run straight to *Their Governments* asking them to pass legislation to take away the ‘evil powers’ from these Liberals who are hell bent on manipulating the public and the election processes of western nations.
They will probably say this is a perfect example of the need to implement *Antitrust legislation* to break up these massive companies into smaller chunks that are supposed to then work in competition with one another instead of collusion… Yes The Government regulators will save us!!!
Nope.
That will be to leap out of the frying pan… into the fire!
You see *Internet Tyranny and control* is in fact something Western Socialist Democratic States have been dreaming of accomplishing *for themselves!*
The result will not be greater freedom of speech… but simply a shift of power from private hands into the Governments.
They will not simply legislate to break up Facebook, Google, etc, but will also legislate to make all sorts of internet communications illegal… and so instead of merely being thrown in ‘virtual jail’ as happens now… there is every probability that we will begin to be thrown in *Real jail* simply for expressing our own opinions (it is already happening!).
The Real solution is for some smart entrepreneurs and programmers to understand what is going on and to take steps to capitalise on the massive outrage that is being generated by the prejudices of the current internet giants, and to develop alternative social media sites and search engines… ones that have Iron clad security, and that have a constitution/ code of ethics to be what all ‘Free Press’ are supposed to be… the Vanguards of Freedom… of equal rights… of free speech!
And when this happens and people realise that there are far better places to do business than Facebook and Google… their power will be broken… their stocks will crash… and their reign of terror will be over.
This can be done without surrendering anything to Governments.
It will take time.
I have already signed up to MeWe social media site as an interim bolthole should my facebook page get axed, yet I have herd rumours of far better and secure social media site are in development as we speak!
Something called ‘Chain-blocking’ which is gibberish to me, yet my geeky friends assure me its very snazzy and will be awesome when it arrives!
And this is the Free market in action… and to the rescue!
The despicable tyrants running Youtube, Facebook, Google, have sown the seeds of their own destruction, and I hope the creators of these better sites are not only more ethical… which will be their greatest marketing strategy they could aspire to… but also that they become super wealthy from their creations that will go a long way towards halting the diabolical evils of Liberals Fascists in high places.

While I in no way fully endorse Donald Trump, I will say that By Defeating Hillary Clinton Trump saved America from a very very dangerous socialist tyrant.
And Donald Trump is by far a more honest, and just President than the despicable and psychotic Hillary Clinton who fully endorsed everything that Barack Obama did… they conspired together, and was poised to take things to the next level.
Thankfully the American people had had enough of their Diabolical and treasonous Agenda that was trying to destroy American Values, Rights,and freedom and force everyone into embracing Anti-Christian depravity and delusions… Grown men… perverts…. mentally ill allowed in Little girls Toilets!

Trumps victory has in fact caused the left to become even more psychotic… things are getting progressively worse… not just on line, but on the streets, and how Law and order is now being implemented.
The destroyers like violent Fascists groups like Antifa can cause riots etc with impunity, while anyone who tries to physically defend themselves will get arrested. Critics of the Left get their speeches cancelled, etc etc… there is a war against Freedom going on and its getting very violent.
It is becoming dangerous to oppose the psychotic Left.

Poverty is growing in New Zealand.
Suicide is too.
Financial stress is destroying families.

With the heavy oppression I face from the Tax department, only two things prevent me from becoming a dangerous enemy of the state… rather than a passive victim.
1. My responsibility as a husband and Father to put their immediate well-being ahead of my need for vengeance.
2. My Christian faith that abhors violence… even against those who deserve it… yet the restraints of these two factors have limits… I ask myself at what point does it become the Christian and Fatherly Duty to take up arms and wage war against a tyrannical State?
Anyone here remember the words of the American Declaration of Independence and why America was born?
Nah.

How many struggling families receive Threatening letters about arbitrary ‘Debts’ from The New Zealand tax department each week?
How many self employed people are bankrupted by the IRD… or loose everything they have worked years to gain?

There is a crisis going on!

What will it take to stop the Legalised Robbery?
The Government makes Organised crime look like amateurs!

So far my Activism has been Peaceful and reason based… like the Gospel… an appeal to the hearts and minds of my fellow citizens… Yet the Jackboots of the state are kicking at my door…. like Extortionate Gangsters.

They are destroying the lives of the virtuous and hard working.

Yet the *real sad truth is* it is *you*…. my fellow countrymen who continue to vote for the Rapacious Extortioners… and their ever growing addiction to expropriation.

Nonetheless like a runaway juggernaut the Government and Councils are having meetings about the country scheeming more ‘innovative’ ways to take our money for their whack schemes!

No matter how hard I work… or how many thousands of dollars I withhold from my family and give to the beast… no matter how many Holidays I forego… They still send me threatening letters telling them I owe them tens of thousands more….
How many of you are working yourselves to death… forego Medical attention for yourself… yet suffer sleepless nights, and whose only Forlorn hope is to win lotto?

They take the Joy out of life and keep families on the edge of poverty at all times. (A Habitat of Envy and want under which white horse riding socialist Scammers flourish… )

The Great Teacher and Student. Anthony McClean and Anthony Mulder

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the river tragedy that took the lives of 6 Elim Christian School students and their teacher Anthony McClean.
Such a terrible event, Yet from the first time I herd the story of Anthony’s heroic exploit I have been overwhelmed and affected by a sense of awe at his humanity and sense of Christian duty that he demonstrated on this fateful day, and though 6 others lost their lives this blogpost is my personal tribute to him in particular… as an exemplar of character and the sort of loving soul that every parent desires in a tutor of their children.

When the River surged trapping the group in a dire situation, Anthony was faced with a Great moral Dilemma… abandon his pupils and Save himself… or… strive to save a physically disabled student cerebral palsy sufferer Tom Hsu, 16, by tying him to his own back and to risk his own life for their sake.
Visualizing this in my mind, I am transported in time and space to witnessing this act of heroism first hand…and I am overcome.
His heroism cost him his life… they died together… yet ten years later the example he set still moves and inspires me and thousands of other New Zealanders.
It ranks in the highest order of Noble deeds… Christ-like… who said “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends…” John15vs13.
His action is the equal of any Teacher who has in such moments of fate… given their lives for their students, and I am reminded of such stories we often read about when there is a US school massacre… the teachers who put themselves between the killers and their Pupils… May God Bless and Keep them all.

This is the spirit of Altruism… the voluntary self sacrifice of personal benefits… out of love…for the sake of others.
True Heroism is not about personal glory, and is impossible for the person who puts their own life as the highest value.
This is taking the Vocation of teaching to its Highest end… placing the life of your students ahead of your own.

Teachers like Anthony McClean demonstrate the *Real virtue* of the vocation… Teaching was never about High wages and Fame… and all about being able to fulfill your personal desire to serve others… The opportunity and privilege to instill wisdom and values in the youth under your care… to empower them to take care of themselves, raise happy and healthy families, and to live great and fulfilling lives.
And the best teachers teach the most important lessons of character… by example… living (and dying) by the values they expound.
Teachers who dont have this quality may be technically smart… yet can never be *Great*… and when any troubles arise… even minor troubles… they will put their own interests ahead of your children.
What parent can have confidence in a Selfish teacher to look after their child, and instill values?

Anthony Mulder was one of the Students who lost his life that day… yet not before performing selfless deeds of heroism!
He positioned himself in the torrent and helped his fellow students to get across.

” Kish Proctor and Sarah Brooks, two of the survivors from the canyoning group, said Ant was an inspiration for his selfless, loving nature and steadfast belief in God.

Fellow Elim youth leader and Pakuranga College student Jessica Hancock described him as a “humble, patient, peaceful, generous and loving guy who has changed so many lives”.

Speaking after the memorial service, Ant’s friends said healing moments had been time spent in his bedroom and talking about the good times they shared with him.

Kish said Ant was voted group leader while at the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoors Pursuits Centre because he was a seasoned tramper and led by example.

“He stood in the middle of the current and helped all of us across it,” he said.”

Let us Remember this Tragic Day… esp the Deeds of these Two Heroes.
Lets us take inspiration from their selfless actions in the Darkest of hours and endeavour to emulate them in our own lives.

While pondering and contemplating and meditating today, it occurred to me that one of the greatest ‘stumbling blocks’ to confessing faith in the Christian Gospel is the absolutely erroneous assumption by the average bible rejecting lost soul that is the idea that the God of the Bible hates them…because they are sinners… and wants to send them to damnation.

This is a very powerful misrepresentation of the truth!

The Truth is the exact opposite… God Loves them *despite the fact* that they are sinners…and *does not want* them to be Damned!
That is why He sent Christ.

Below is my hastily written goodbye to my long time friend Bruce Christopher Davies, who took his own life 4-3-18.

Bruce was a fully fledged Hard-man Engineering Rebel Bogan… He had a colorful existence… Cars, Bikes, Beer, Woman, and Song.
Hard work and Hard Rock.
In the end it all took its toll…
He will be missed by his Mates, and Family.
This Blog post is to pay Tribute to this Awesome dude… my fabulous friend with a Big Heart.. loved by many.. and for those who never got to pay their respects to Bruce with his unexpected passing.

My tale of Bruce Davies.

This story of Bruce Davies … My Story…starts at New Haven engineering, Judea Tauranga in 1987, when I had just moved down from West Auckland a week after finishing my Engineering apprenticeship…
I had a small Bedford housebus that I drove, and parked up at my mums place in Gate pa.
I was 18, and I wanted to live in Tauranga as from visiting my mother who was living there… the Bay of Plenty appeared to be a paradise!
Plenty of Hot friendly girls, sunshine and beaches!
Just one great big Holiday park!
I was not in Tauranga long before I started looking for work as an engineer.
Being an Auckland Westy, when I met the Bay of Plenty Bogan Bruce Davies who was working at New Haven Structural Engineers … we were a cultural perfect fit… though I was a Christian… we had the same Westy Bogan values … and we hit it off immediately.

Not only that… we had had similar upbringings… not known our Fathers… being raised in a single parent house by our mothers, etc

New Haven was a Structural Fabrication Workshop and We were Building Tanks and structures for the Waihi Goldmine.
Bruce was a great engineer… a great welder and fabricator… a hard man.
Heavy Fabrication Engineering is a real mans job… Not afraid to get dirty… We took pride in being Hard.
He was also a great farmer.

As a New Guy… sitting in the New Haven smoko room full of workers and the Boss, Bruce loudly asks me… “Do you smoke Pot?”
I was shocked!
As a 19 year old Westy… OF Course I smoked pot! Yet we Westies were *secret squirrel* about such things at our Jobs… around ‘Nomies’/ trendies/etc… so I was like trying to wisper… bro keep it down!
Yet it was only a matter of days before I was smoking weed with Bruce outside his mums place in my bus… and drinking Waikato Draught Beer… two things that would become synonymous with our friendship that would last 30 years.

We would under age Drink Waikato ( Legal drinking age was 20 back then) and play pool at the Otumotai Trust hotel..with Bruce’s mates Al, Mark, and Guy… the five of us looked like black peas from the same pod… all would wear black Levis, black tee shirts, black jerseys, black beanies, and all were about the same height and all had shaggy long un-kept hair… and we were suspicious of anyone who did not look like us!

One day I rolled into the Trust Hotel car park in my bus and Bruce said to the boys… here comes ‘the blowfly’… referring to my green and black bus… and after that my nickname was Blowfly!
Thanks mate… it was a classic nickname… one that makes you cringe.

I had my 21st party at Bruce’s and Nicky’s pad in Thompsons track Katikati… in a farmhouse where he was milking and farming.

I then moved back to Auckland for a few years with a pretty Tauranga Girl (Carol) and we soon had a Daughter (Melissa) … yet having got used to the Tauranga pace … the Auckland Rat race sucked and so we moved back to Tauranga… And I was soon working with Brucie again in Structural Engineering… for a company called Metal Trend… this is when my Son Jamie was born.
(Carol and I would separate a few years later… yet we are friends now)

Bruce had an affinity with cats.
He was a cool Cat! and he certainly had nine lives. He wreaked at least 50% of the vehicles he ever owned…
Bruce had his orange ginger cat ‘Russell’ who was Bruce’s best mate… “the greatest cat in the world” according to Bruce. He nick named Russell ‘Patrol leader’… Russell was always on patrol… and they spent many years together… even after Bruces great love Nicky left him for his [other] best friend.

Bruce found Joy (My Wife), Mine, and our sons grey cat Floyd as a tiny Kitten in the gutter outside the Te Rapa Pub Hamilton…One dark winter rainy nite… and brought him home to our place as at the time he was staying with us after going through another tuff break up with another lady…

And Bruce as many of you probably already know… had his last cat named ‘Tuesday’ with him in the car… and they passed way together. Tuseday is buried on site in the upper reaches of the Cormandal peninsula.

Bruce was a romantic soul, yet like so many of us everytime he fell in love… it was followed by a painful break up… and these were the low points in his life.
I remember how happy Bruce was when he and Amanda had Michael… Bruce was a proud Father and it was devastating when He had a messy break up with Amanda, and it was virtually impossible for Bruce to maintain any contact with Michael… too painful to deal with the situation, and when Amanda moved to Australia that definitely was a barrier too far for Bruce, and Like me he would have been hoping that at some time when Mike had grown up… that they would make contact again … sadly Bruce took a heavy downturn… and now this will never happen.

Michael… You have my sincere apologies on Bruces behalf… he was a great Guy… yet he was a person who… in the end…did not like or function well according to the rules conservative society demands…
I hope you and I get a chance to talk about your old man so you get to know him better.

As the decades past we had countless good times … partying… smoking weed… and hanging out.

I got my first tattoos with Bruce at his house on a Kiwifruit orchard up Omanawa road (lower Kaimai ranges) … from a flatmate who was planning to become a tattoo artist and needed some suckers to practice on!
Bruce got a Ledzeplin wizard holding up a lantern on his arm, and the big Scorpion on his back and shoulder… Bruce was a Scorpio.

Now though some folk will not approve of this yet… as I have already mentioned smoking weed was a major recreational past time for Bruce and I.
I got busted by the police *twice* with Bruce over the years.
Both these times are quite amusing to look back on, yet I would become a staunch Libertarian activist for the decriminalisation of Cannabis… and Bruce being a Mate would help me with setting up Libertarianz party stands at Jay days etc… he would take the pics of me speaking, etc… and some of my best quality photos I have of Bruce are Libertarian activism pics… Both of us were now living in Hamilton Waikato (District).

The war on drugs is very oppressive for fringe-dwellers like Bruce… and myself… people who don’t want to conform to the sheepish standards that pass as ‘normal/ conservative’…
We Libertarians despise how oppressive the ‘Mob rule’ of our Nanny state democracy is, and defiantly ‘Live like its legal’… and because of righteous activism and world trends… cannabis will soon be legal here in New Zealand… as it has become in many countries around the world.

In 2002 Bruce would be the Best man at Joy and my wedding at Mc Clarens falls in the Kaimai hills above Tauranga.
It was an honor to have him as my best man.
Though I have been fortunate to have had more than one ‘Best mate’… Bruce earned the right to stand beside me on my most important day, in front of most of my other friends and family.
He rose to the occasion and was a great support…. The after party being the best party of my life… and he was a big part of that… we used his stereo for the Soundz, and he was a big help cleaning up in the days that followed.

About twenty years ago Bruce and I had another painful shock.
Bruces life long friend Mark Crosby… one of our tight Posse… killed himself in a car in a reserve on the Matamata side of the Kaimais.
I got the call from Bruce about it…. And every since then I had a fear… a premonition… that Bruce was harbouring thoughts that this was a legitimate option he had for himself.
And this has proved to be the case.

I must ask you all not to follow Bruces example!
It was a very Bad idea… Death will come calling for us soon enough and when someone takes their life… they take away any chance for Providence to shine again in their lives… The Sun will rise again if only you endure… Hold on and have faith… Don’t let the world break your spirit!
Find something that fills your life with value and meaning… I have my Christian faith…
Bruce had at least another 20 years of quality life… so many good things he will now miss… and because of what he did..we… the ones that loved him and appreciated him… will miss out too.

Now I am going to close this on a sad note.
About the time that Joy and I were expecting our son Roman, Bruce and I had a falling out… and I decided to stop visiting him and focus on my new responsibility as a Dad.
I was hoping Bruce would turn up one day and we would talk things through and get things settled and we would carry on as normal… I lost contact with him when he moved… yet always hoping… sadly the years quickly ticked by… and Bruce never showed.
I am very sad that we never managed to get it sorted.
I am angry that he chose to pass away without trying….
And I carry Guilt that I did not act upon my thoughts several years ago to track him down and sort it out.
I am sorry my friend for not being there when you needed me… not being there to tell you to get your shit together like I did many times before.
I hope you forgive me.
I hope you are in a better place… maybe with Mark, and Pat, and your Mum.
Good bye Mate… and thanks for everything.

With consent of Bruce’s family , We… his friends took Bruce the day before his funeral up into the hills overlooking Raglan, and gave him his ‘last rites’ Bogan style.
We Celebrated his life…. we had our last Beers with him, our last games of Pool… and spent all night laughing and telling hard case yarns about our Bro.
Girls turned up and wept over his coffin, and we transported him in style in a Holden Panel wagon with Triumph Bonneville Escort.
He was dressed in a Black Beanie, Shades, Pink Floyd Dark side of the Moon tee shirt, Blue Jeans and Black Army Boots.
We played his friend Paul Goughs’ Original ‘K9 Convention’ song… absolutely Unique… Rockin… and a track Bruce loved.
I know a lot of people will be bummed out they did not get the chance to see him off… things happened so quickly.
We hope all his mates approve of our send off… It was done in the best Bruce style.
Thanks to everyone who made it to pay their respects, and help make it worthy.
Special thanks to Brucies People in the Waikato.

And there will be a commemoration for Bruce in one years time somewhere appropriate with the idea of perhaps spreading his ashes, and this will be another opportunity for Bruce’s friends to pay their respects.
Maybe McClarens falls… first weekend in March… as Bruce was a part of The Kaimai community and so many of us had great times with Bruce in the Hills there.
