I am going to release this post in a series that will eventually be parts of a whole.
I am doing this so that I can publish it to ‘Eternal vigilance’ as early as possible, and in chunks that are not ‘War and Peace’.

“May you live in interesting times” is an English expression which purports to be a translation of a traditional Chinese curse. While seemingly a blessing, the expression is normally used ironically; life is better in “uninteresting times” of peace and tranquility than in “interesting” ones, which are usually times of trouble.

These are interesting times.

This will be the most significant Blog post I have written for years.
It will encapsulate virtually all my most important values and warnings and declarations I have made over the past 20 years.
I will try and stitch together as many essential elements as possible without writing a book… yet a Book… many Books… will need to be written to explore the events that are unfolding around us… that threaten our very lives…and way of life.

A friend of mine took puerile glee on social media the other day … displaying contempt for our Panic… by asserting that the Covid-19 is… quote: ‘not an existential crisis’ for mankind *as a species* … because despite the death toll… human life will go on… yet such a shallow indifference to the fact that many thousands are dying… must also be called out for its callous indifference to the very real *existential crisis that is afoot for Human liberty and clear boundaries against Totalitarianism*.

Now I love my unnamed friend… and i know it’s poor taste and rough usage on my part to proceed to frame everything I am about to say upon his off hand remark, in truth the following is absolutely not about that… It is simply a matter that I can utilise his comment to exemplify *what is really at stake*… above the mere fact that life will go on for most.

He is correct in that… and I guess for many, that is all they care about… It does not even matter to them that things will never be the same.

To be fair I know my friend is as concerned about the leap Western Nations are making in the face of Covid-19 as I am… maybe even more so.
His remark was a protest that tyranny cannot be justified upon the false premise that Covidid-19 constitutes an existential threat to Humanity as a species.
This being so… what justification if any exists for the Usurpation of extraordinary powers by Governments, and the heavy curtailment of individual rights and liberties?

PM Jacinda Ardern was acting very casually when she introduced to the nation the 4 tier Government emergency response plan she would be implementing.
at the time of announcement the question of whether or not she actually has the legal authority to carry out this scheme was never put to her by the news media who are supposed to ask the tuff questions of our leadership… on behalf of We… the people.
And so she was allowed to do what ever she liked based upon the mere unquestioned assumption she had the authority to do so.

Was it a devious ruse on her part to set the country at alert level two, and to keep the schools open for the sake of keeping the people in a false state of calm for a critical few days when she was all along rushing to get ready to jump straight up to level 4 and shut the roads… trapping us in… so that we had no opportunity to relocate ourselves in more congenial spots to hibernate?

When we read of reports from places like Italy where before roadblocks were imposed or flight restriction, people left the main centers and traveled to other towns… that their governments considered this behavior detrimental to their ideas of containment…. I suspect Ardern *did* intentionally lull us into a false sense that things were better than they actually were.

Think about that, and what that says about the way she operates.
What ethics… if any… underpin her actions?
I put nothing past her… she displays all the characteristics of a person who thinks her ambitions justify any means necessary… including deception of the New Zealand public.
Remember how she ran for office on the promise of running the most open and transparent Government ever?
Yet time has proven the opposite is true… she has time and time again refused to answer questions put to her.
She springs edicts upon us without public discussion or debate.

I was offered a place to escape to out of Hamilton City yet because of Arderns sudden implementation of Alert level 4 it became too risky to be stopped on the roads by Police who might treat people looking to escape the cities as criminals.

There are other reasons why my family chose to weather the storm in Hamilton.

As a Maintenance Engineer at one of New Zealand’s ‘essential food industries’ I have continued to work while my family are in Isolation.
The Company has implemented many changes to make our working environment safer.
Sanitiser everywhere, no meetings in confined spaces, less people per Smoko room breaks, maintaining social distance of 2 meters, anyone who can work from home is doing so, etc.
There is still opportunity for Smokoroom banter and discussion about whats in the news… albeit at greater distances… and a continuous theme among my peers is an incessant exclamation that the government should be implementing Far heavier … Martial Law type actions.. than it already is upon those whom are perceived to be ‘non-compliant’ to self isolation.
The primary underlying thinking of these people is firstly Fear, and secondly they are exposing their fundamental belief that Tyrannical government is a Collective good that trumps individual rights.

These fools should be careful what they wish for!
In a National environment full of such thinking, Heavy handed’Jacinda Ardern’ type politicians are in their element, and she will be most willing to oblige them in their desires to be rendered Rightless slaves beneath her all powerful rule!
She is after all… a Socialist.
I am surrounded by ‘nice people’ who in fact endorse totalitarianism and are happy to surrender their rights in a heartbeat!
I am sure any legal authority to do so is being quietly, yet hastily drafted as we speak.
No media seem to be interested in asking such questions about what extra powers our government is planning to usurp… to rush through parliament… under urgency… with no public consultation.

Where did I get that impression?
Oh that’s right… that’s precisely what happened just last year… precisely how Comrade Number 1 Ardern and *all our elected representatives behaved *bar 1* in the wake of the Christchurch Terrorist attack when they flouted due legal process to rush the prohibition of semiautomatics and high capacity magazines into law!
All it took was for Ardern to declare Gun ownership in New Zealand is not a right, but a privilege!
This arbitrary assertion set up the notion that the State was not acting tyrannically in confiscating the Guns from Law abiding citizens who had done no wrong.
And it was basically swallowed hook, line, and sinker by virtually every member of parliament and almost every journalist in the country.
Virtually No time was allocated for Public consultations or submission of protest, and those few token submissions that were herd fell on deaf ears.
The Government simply gave themselves the legal powers they wanted.
Kinda like Hiter’s ‘Enabling Act’.

That’s the sort of government we have running this country!

Things are quite calm at present… 400 odd cases Nationally last time i checked.
Everyone has plenty of supplies… for a month or two.
No one has even died of the virus in New Zealand… The Morale of the nation is fearful… yet still high, yet this calm will not last long.
Panic will replace calm as hospitals become overwhelmed, and the virus starts to claim lives.
The Reaper will thrust in his sickle.
Family and friends will die.

Martial law is probably just around the corner… as the supermarkets begin to run out of supplies… and the people realise that they dont have enough stores in the cupboards.

All the compulsion that is being implemented and that will be ramped up is being almost universally touted as the only possible means of tackling this Pandemic.
Its taken as a given
It’s considered unquestionable.
Any suggestion that the governments and populations of the world could possibly have worked collectively together to fight this pandemic without Tyranny has not even been openly discussed.
Many consider anyone questioning why people should be compelled to obey all the restrictions as being dangerous to the common good… as being criminally negligent.
And because this is the path that most nations are taking, It may appear moot to even ponder whether or not things could have been done better… differently
When Chaos ensues and martial law imposed it will be even more difficult.

*yet to my mind if martial law is imposed it will signal the utter failure of Ardern’s heavy handed policies*… not justify them.

After the crisis has past… and the scale of devastation reconsidered, it is very probable many people will wake up to the fact that our Nations surrendered our precious rights too easily… and that the promised security that such Heavy handed Government imposed did very little to hinder the inevitable out come… over and above what could have been achieved by a purely voluntary approach that respected rights and liberties.

It is very possible that the governments whole strategy will be judged to be an abject failure.
That what in fact happened was we ended up with a Rash ‘Enemy like’ State working against the people … not for the people as was supposed.
Yet having gained broad ranging powers that circumvent any lawful obligation to follow important due processes that were created to keep Government just and in check… they will be very reluctant to surrender these powers.
Such powers that allow the police to enter houses without warrants, power to detain people on mere suspicion, the power to compel vaccinations, the power to arrest critics of Government edicts when ‘national emergencies have been declared’. etc.

They will be especially ardent in their desire to retain these powers even after the present crisis is passed because if they are allowed to do so it will mean they can use them to more easily impose the entire political UN Globalist agenda than otherwise would be the case if they were compelled to follow time-honored due process that exist to protect the people from Power grabs.

Many Independent thinkers perceive the current crisis as a practice run for the overthrow of Western civilization consisting of Free and independent sovereign nations by the UN Globalists embedded in almost every government on earth.

Will the ultimate result of the Ardern Doctrine prove to having been a disaster in the long run?
I suspect so.

My next part to this issue I will discuss more about how this crisis could have been handled much better… and far more justly.
I want to post this portion, yet for now let it be known that just because I strongly disagree with the usurpation of power Ardern and other world leaders have assumed in this crisis, that this means I wont voluntarily comply with all those edits that are in fact based upon common sense and sound reason.
The whole trust of my counter-argument rests upon the idea that Peoples ability to reason, and to grasp what is in their own best interests,and the interests of the country as a whole… and that when political leaders display high character and integrity… that by far that majority of people will willingly comply *to a national strategy that does not require State Jackboots.*
So let me make this very clear.
I am all for self isolation.
I am all for social distancing.
I am all for the washing of hands.
I am all for staying out of Public spaces as much as possible.
I am all for collective effort to flatten the curve!
Totalitarianism does not have a monopoly on these obvious actions, nor the means to impose them by force!
It is voluntary compliance that will be the deciding factor.
Ardern could have in fact still introduced the four tier alert system, and have called the nation to act collectively on a totally voluntary basis.

The meme above insinuates that *Even anarchists* become supporters of tyranny in such times as these, yet this is simply false.

This does not mean they endorse the States heavy hand.
It means they are asking people to voluntarily comply *to common sense actions*… and act in a collectively responsible manor… it is quite secondary that many of these wise ideas are *also government policy*.
The Idea that Anarchists *must* rebel against *all government policies and laws* just goes to show that people dont understand Anarchism or Libertarianism*… because both will *voluntarily* comply with Laws that are in accordance with their own values and Ideals… while maintaining the right to condemn Government coercion in such matters.

None of these essential basic habits require compulsion!

So why allow Ardern to strip us of our rights?

The need to do so is pure illusion.

I will sign off here with one final ‘shout out’ and that is to all the Good citizens still leaving their families, and the security of their own homes to go to work in the midst of this pandemic for that sake of keeping their communities supplied with the necessities of life!
It is truly Noble.
Their personal risk means our whole society will be able to maintain our isolation much longer… which is the best hope of defeating the spread of this killer disease, and will save lives by taking pressure off our hospitals.
I salute every Nurse and Doctor, and Orderly, Evert Trucky, every Supermarket check out person, Every factory worker and farmer, etc young, old … Boy or Girl… or other who continue to provide for us, mostly without any extra reward.
While some degenerates will use times of crisis to create chaos, these Good citizens are showing us that Tuff times are also when the best of humanity shines brightest.
Tonight Sunday 29-3-20 at 7pm the call has gone out for the Citizens of New Zealand to go out onto their front doorsteps, or to open a window… and put your hands together and give these essential workers a clap!
This is a token of our appreciation for what they are doing in such a dangerous time… the personal risks they are taking for our countries sake!
I also ask for every person of faith to say a prayer for their personal safety… esp the ones that you personally know.

And remember everyone… should you contract the virus or not…. remember that the throne of God’s love and grace is still open to you.
get right with God!
Look to the Cross of Christ for your salvation while the door is still open for you.
My prayers are with everyone who reads this post, and with your loved ones… may you all get through this crisis.

“Police Commissioner Mike Bush explains what will happen to anyone not abiding the new laws.
The Defence Force is ready to respond with aircraft, vehicles and personnel if the public doesn’t comply with isolation rules during lockdown.

Commander Joint Forces NZ Rear Admiral Jim Gilmour said they have military planners and people with specialist skills working with the Government to assist in the response.

“We have a range of capabilities should these be required to assist in the response to Covid-19, including transport aircraft and vehicles, and skilled personnel who can assist other government agencies if needed,” he said.

“We have initiated Operation Protect to focus and organise our contributions to the all-of-government effort to respond to, and manage the effects of Covid-19.”

Despite the magnitude of what is going on the Great herd is becoming tired of having their News feeds filled with Corona virus stuff.
This page is a place to share discuss what is happening with others who want to talk about it.

It is Highly Probable that Facebook will have algorithms to suppress pages such as this one as they want to control the spread of information, So I do hope you check in regularly even if you dont get notifications, and please share articles and posts you think have important information for your friends and families, and also invite others to join.

People like me could suddenly ‘disappear’ off facebook completely… and worse… We could receive visits from the Thought Police… esp during times like this when ‘The powers that be’ decide that the Crisis justifies *very heavy handed suppression* of criticism of their policies and alternative views.

We now know the so-called ‘False information’ was in fact *TRUE* and that it was *The Government* that was lying… spreading *Fake News* from nefarious Political aims.
It is a fact that many who contract Covid-19 get Pneumonia … and that it is this pneumonia that is Fatal….

This is what happens when governments have the legal authority to impose their own narratives upon the Public.

Important note: It is not my intent to cause undue ‘panic’ or to pointlessly ‘buck the system’, for its own sake… I simply want to create a page where *all the information* is available for people to make up their own minds about what is going on.
In fact I encourage my fellow citizens to voluntarily comply with logical measures and desires of the Government when we can see good reason that such collective action will tend to the best outcome… up to a point.

I don’t intend to ‘Vet’ stories and only publish things I agree with… that’s not the point of this page… If you think a story going about *is bullshit* then you have the opportunity to say so and make your argument in the comments… and it is in that way that *even the Bullshit stories* serve a good purpose by presenting opportunities for people to rebut them.
Thereby demonstrating how Free speech is superior to censorship in how to combat bad Ideas and falsehoods.

Facebook has already *limited* the number of posts I can share here in a day ‘under the pretense of fighting spam’… which is a farce …. how can I ‘spam’ my own page?
Again this is part of a ‘control’ .

Let me ask you this…. Are you watching the internet or is the internet watching you?

The people need to rise up and insure they have legal protections against such Political manipulations!
We need laws that *prohibit* the censorship and prohibitions that people like Arden and Little are busy imposing on our Nation.
Currently We are rushing backwards into Tyranny and the Thought Police.
We must organise and protest… and vote for Politicians and parties that will scrap the evil restrictions on Free speech that are so dangerous to our society.
We must have Legal protections that forbid politicians imposing controls and censorship… threats of shutting down the internet… during times of crisis… and that if they do so… they will face harsh real punishments as crimes against the people.

This Blogpost has been a bloody nightmare to write… and will probably suck just as badly to read!
Not only is it Obscene in length, containing last weeks news that has been thoroughly covered by other writers when it was actually current … The whole theme I was trying to lay out simply didnt work!
There has been too much crap going on!
Yet because I have spent 3 days writing this sod of a thing, I am too peeved to just Euthanize it … letting it die quietly… with dignity…
I’m sorry…. Read at your own peril.

As the calendar clicked over into 2020 I was wallowing under a cloud at how oppressive Ardern’s regime and her henchmen The New Zealand Police has been behaving with regards to the Police raid on Right Minds Social media Commentator and critic of the Ardern Globalist doctrine and Concerned Citizen who made a Submission in opposition to the Firearms Amendment Act… Conservative Thinker Dieuwe de Boer.

The Police had evidently used his submission to the bill as ‘pretext’ to invade and ransack his home and traumatise his family… finding nothing…. yet leaving him (and the Independent NZ Blogging community) a clear message from the regime… of the consequences contrary opinions to the State Agenda could expect to be treated if they dare express them in the public domain.

This shocking act of Political Gansterism was just the latest in a series of such raids on independent Kiwi social media commentators … a clear systematic pattern now evident to all who are awake… one which the so-called mainstream media have done their part to condition the sheeple to endorse as a legitimate suppression of ‘Far Right extremism’.

I had predicted this Jackbooted activity would commence (here) given the Gun confiscation amnesty had been such an utter failure… the Police eager to ‘Punish’ those who had in any way attempted to protest against their new tyrannies…. and because the raid on de Boer’s family home was well covered by several Bloggers there was little I could have added to the discussion, and so I chose to share these commentaries rather than write another one myself.

^ That is an exceptional piece of truth telling by VJM Publishing which exposes the mainstream media as fake news and complicit in the loss of liberty and headlong plunge of our nation under the Jackboot of a Socialist Police State.

And If that was not enough to depress the Concern citizens of New Zealand… the media kept pumping out the bad news that the State Juggernaut was steam rolling forward with ‘more ‘Hate speech legislation’… and more betrayal of the ‘Full and Final Treaty settlement process’ (re: Arderns utter disregard for the Law with respect to Inhumatao).

Anti-freedom Social engineers are constantly baying for more heavy handed socialism.
Academics and the Media have been promoting sugar taxes… and Taxes on Meat and dairy… Hospitals are changing their menus, not to improve Patients health but for the so-called Politically correct rationale of making their operations ‘more environmentally sustainable’.

I was feeling the weight of the relentless Millitarisation of the New Zealand police as being the new and accepted ‘Post Christchurch ‘Norm’ … having been sold to the public via the same lies that were used to justify the concurrent disarmament of Law abiding New Zealanders… that the Christchurch attack ‘had forever changed the rules of the game’… and that We New Zealanders must accept a heavy curtailment of our rights across the board… because we are being told our rights and liberties were ‘dangerous’… and therefore the Police needed far more Powers.
Today if the police pay you a visit they will always be armed… and they will treat you as if you are dangerous irrespective of the reason they have come to see you about.

Until Ardern took office, that B.S only happened in Communist shitholes or in Gun ho America!
certainly not here in Gods own!
Yet in the blink of an eye The New Zealand Police have become a serious danger to the New Zealand Public and they waive loaded guns in people faces on a regular basis and have shot more people in the past 10 years than in the previous 40… and at an accelerating rate…

Epic!

This is a perfect example of how Forward thinkers are treated like fools by the Backward and entrenched status quo… and how innovators meet with hostility from the establishment.
It also shows why People should not simply leave their own health concerns or those of their friends and loved ones in the hands of ‘the Experts’… or trust that they are telling you the whole truth!
It is also informative that this sort of behavior is especially prevalent in the fields of science exposing the fallacious yet carefully crafted myth that the scientific fraternity is peopled with enlightened and objective thinkers who are especially open to progressive ideas… the opposite is true… science is infested with narrow minded and Dogmatically opinionated drones… who are more likely to resist progress than speed it.
And this being so my friends… you had better be prepared to swim against the flow of ‘accepted opinions’ if you want to more closely understand the truth.

“He is a doctor and innovator. Years ago, he took aim at a medical curse that has disabled millions of people and defied treatment. He came up with a cure that was astonishingly simple. No surgery. No pills.

Now, think: Would his colleagues cheer his stroke of ingenuity by spreading the news — and practice — of the treatment to relieve suffering?
No. Inexplicably, they rejected him, ridiculed him, heaved accusations that threatened his license to practice medicine.”

“John Epley’s stooped shoulders and gentle eyes gave him a turtlish look. He wore a thickly knotted necktie and wrinkled sport coat. No amount of combing could tame the stubborn cowlick in his short hair.

His audience of ear surgeons muttered skeptically and shook their heads. Few at the October 1980 meeting in Anaheim, Calif., believed Epley’s claim to have developed a cure for the most common cause of chronic vertigo.

In any given year, tens of thousands of people seek treatment for the disorder’s strange, crippling attacks. Provoked by a casual tilt or turn of the head, the victim’s surroundings whirl. The eyeballs twitch involuntarily. Nausea overwhelms the senses. On-and-off bouts may torment a sufferer for years.
Physicians were baffled. The best they could offer as treatment was a drastic last resort: surgically destroying nerves to the inner ear, impairing patients’ balance and possibly their hearing.

Epley proposed an elegant alternative.

His talk concluded with a demonstration, a young woman acting as his patient. Epley and his research collaborator, audiologist Dominic Hughes, began by tilting the woman flat on her back, her head hanging over the end of an exam bench. Hughes cradled her head in his hands and rotated it about 45 degrees to his right, then he and Epley rolled the woman’s head and shoulders back to the left in a counterclockwise move that ended with her face down. In a final move, Hughes and Epley lifted the woman to a sitting position.

And that was it.

By then, audience members were walking out. One doctor stomped up to Epley and slapped down a comment card before exiting. He’d scrawled, “I resent having to waste my time listening to some guy’s pet theory.”

To maintain balance, the brain coordinates messages from the eyes, from muscles pulling against gravity and from motion sensors inside the inner ear’s maze of fluid-filled canals.

Another researcher had reported finding chalklike particles in the inner ears of vertigo patients and proposed that these particles clumped onto ears’ motion sensors to trigger false sensations of motion. But the hypothesis failed to explain the on-again-off-again nature of positional vertigo: If particles stuck on sensors, why did dizziness ever go away?

Epley and Hughes reasoned that the particles must float freely. Head movements might shift them, causing a siege of dizziness until the particles settled or shifted. It might be possible, they figured, to move the particles where they wouldn’t cause mischief. Since the particles are denser than inner-ear fluid and sink, gravity could do the work.

Hughes used plastic tubing to build a model of the inner ear. To simulate loose particles, he put BBs in the coiled tubes. He and Epley flipped and turned the hand-size model as they might a kid’s puzzle, to work out a sequence of moves to reposition the tiny metal balls.They began testing the moves on people straightaway, tilting and rolling them on an exam bench. Odd as the treatment sounded, frustrated patients were keen to try it.

The first two or three subjects seemed to gain immediate relief. At first, Epley wasn’t too impressed. The condition often clears up by itself, he recalls reminding himself. He didn’t know whether he had made any difference.

But when the treatment cured several more patients, including one who had endured dizziness for a decade, he and Hughes realized they’d hit upon a great discovery.

Hard sell

In Portland, some of Epley’s colleagues were so skeptical that they began to question his medical skills. Some doctors stopped referring patients.”

“In front of hostile crowds, he kept presenting his findings. Ken Aebi, a medical supply salesman in Portland who’d become Epley’s friend, felt helplessly embarrassed for him. Epley struggled at the lectern, reading too much from notes and occasionally wandering off on tangents. Some doctors rolled their eyes. Others laughed openly.”

Desperate patient

At an emergency room in 1995, a doctor couldn’t figure out the cause of a sudden attack of vertigo that struck Joseph Delahunt.

He had crawled from the living room of his North Portland house out to his car so that his wife could drive him to the hospital. Delahunt hung his head out the window and vomited most of the way. An Air Force veteran in his mid-50s, he was healthy and active — selling real estate and practicing yoga — until the attacks started.

Delahunt consulted his family doctor, then tried a neurologist and an ear, nose and throat doctor. They prescribed motion-sickness drugs and other medicines that didn’t help much. One told him he’d have to learn to live with the “benign” condition. None mentioned Epley’s treatment. His wife discovered it on the Internet.

Delahunt’s condition worsened. To avoid unbearable, spinning nausea, he sat as still as he could in a reclining chair. For nearly three months, he left the recliner only to go the bathroom.

At Epley’s office, an assistant helped Delahunt down a long hallway to a gray-walled room with closed blinds. An ungainly apparatus filled much of the room. Inside a giant steel ring hung a padded chair that reminded Delahunt of an ejection seat. Motors, gears and drive-chains were rigged to flip and twirl the chair like a carnival ride.

Delahunt stepped up to a platform and into the chair. An assistant clipped straps across his chest and ankles. She covered his eyes with a bulky mask. It contained a video camera to track his eyes. She clipped a vibrator behind his ear. It buzzed gently, more lightly than a cell phone on vibrate.

“Are you comfortable?” the assistant asked. Delahunt nodded, grateful for the Valium he’d taken.Epley fingered a joystick controller to tilt the chair back until Delahunt was face up. A flick of the joystick rotated Delahunt like a barbecue skewer. On a black-and-white computer display, Epley monitored his patient’s eyes for a characteristic twitching movement triggered by positional vertigo. He repeated the series of calibrated tilts and whirls. Then he swung the chair upright and face-forward.

No waves of vertigo struck when Delahunt moved his head. The nausea had cleared. He stopped taking the medications other doctors prescribed and resumed his life.

Threat to livelihood

In Portland, many doctors still dismissed Epley as a crank.

The conflict flared into a crisis in 1996. The Oregon Board of Medical Examiners notified Epley that he was under investigation for alleged unprofessional conduct.

His medical license and livelihood were on the line.”
“Epley’s accusers, two Portland physicians, testified that Epley was administering the nerve-deadening drugs recklessly, based on inadequate diagnostic testing.

Epley’s main defender, a Harvard-affiliated specialist from Boston, described Epley as “a forward thinker who has been right virtually every time he stuck his neck out.”

Litzenberger left no doubt whom she found most credible, portraying the board’s medical experts as hostile, one-sided and ill-informed. In the summer of 2001, Litzenberger dismissed all claims.”

“By then, a review article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine had credited John Epley as the inventor of the “treatment currently recommended” for positional vertigo. In clinical trials, about 90 percent of patients were cured by a single treatment. Doctors applying treatment around the world referred to it as the “Epley maneuver.”

Victory….

“At 76, Epley sees patients three days a week. He spends the two other days of the workweek at Vesticon. His daughter’s startup has already launched development of two of Epley’s other inventions.

In a pause between patients, Epley reflected on the reasons other doctors refused to accept his findings for so many years.

2019 epilogue

Three years after this article was published on the front page of The Oregonian, Dr. John Epley had a stroke and retired. He died in July 2019.

So Hamilton and Waikato regional Council has a New Mayor and some new Councillors.
I will not reveal too much about my own votes which were left to the final hours before being cast.

I will say that I was surprised that Paula Southgate won the Mayoralty and that she was not my choice.
I reserve making any serious commentary on what I expect this to mean for Hamilton other than I do fear she may be heavy on the Environmental hysteria and Heavy on spending in general… yet I may be wrong about this and so I am prepared to wait and see.
Maybe she will prove to be neither of these things?

One of the greatest disappointments I have about the result is that Hamilton’s best and most experienced Councillor of any Ward failed to be re-elected… Garry Mallett…and to him I salute for his hard work and tireless service to our City in trying to keep rates in check and being a voice of reason when other Councillors were proposing Ludicrous Schemes and projects.
I hope that Garry takes this time to enjoy a break, but that he gets back on the horse next election… and hopefully I myself will also rejoin the race.
I also hope Garry continues to keep his finger on the pulse and regularly publishes his Critiques of what council is doing… for better or ill as there has been no better analyst of Hamilton’s affairs than Garry Mallett. He certainly shows up the paucity of journalistic talent at the Waikato Times and they would do well to approach Garry about making regular commentary.
Unfortunately the Waikato Times is politically sloped towards PC Lefty SJW Tofu.

Garry has earned my ‘Outstanding Individual’ award for his contributions to our Local politics.
I hope that one day Garry is Mayor of Hamilton.

There are some new faces of whom I know little apart from their short profiles… and yet I do fear HCC and Waikato have lurched to the radical left… and with that we can expect more climate alarmism…more pandering to Treaty separatism… and less restraint on spending and borrowing.
I fear rates increases and other madness is far more likely now… such as ideologically driven regional fuel taxes, and the like… so what this demonstrates to me is that Hamiltonians have shown a tragic level of being indoctrinated by the globalist liberal propaganda.
I know that is not a politically expedient thing to say but I dont care… I believe its a fact and i want to be honest in sharing my genuine opinions.
Given the extreme bias of the media … and the scale of their bombardments I would not at all be surprised to see this was a general tend reflected in results across the country.

Though we disagree on the issue of climate change, I’d like to congratulate Jennifer Nickle for her success in regional council.
I worked on site with Jennifer at Fonterra Te Rapa and hope that her experience in the Dairy industry tempers her judgement to balance environmental concerns with the need for New Zealand and the Waikato to have viable industry that is the engine of our quality of life just as much as having clean water and air, and looking after our Fauna and Flora.
In fact I would hope she realises from her work with Fonterra that Industry can be a valuable partner to have in getting Private assistance to achieving ecological aims.

I would also like to give a shout out to Lisa Lewis and Jack Geilen.
Lisa worked very hard this election and put in a very credible and impressive campaign! I have always admired Lisa’s spirit… her courage, and should she have been elected she certainly would have added some colourful Charisma to the mix and an alternative perspective that would add value… in contrast to the *Wooden middle-class Uni indoctrinated blinkered types that infest city councils. I certainly think she would be a better Councillor that those whom are Liberal radical Greens steeped in socialism and Climate hysteria.
I hope she perseveres.

And Jack… Jack is a guy with whose struggle I understand.
Like Jack, I myself know how hard it is to stand up for what you believe in when you have no War chest from which to do the most basic advertising… and the Media does not give you a fair opportunity to share your ideas and solutions thus failing in their moral duty to inform the public of their real options on the ballot.
And most of all I respect Jack for his ceaseless activism and support for Fathers rights.
Such an important issue that is ignored by our PC feminist anti-Men indoctrinated political elites.

I will finish this Election commentary with a general congratulations to all the successful and a salute to all of the fallen… as I know that even those with whom i disagree that they have served… and will serve the Waikato with the best of intent… that they are civic minded people … and for that alone they deserve recognition.

I lay down the injunction to all to resist radical socialist hysteria but instead make prudent judgments that put the rights and rates of the citizens first… ahead of personal ideological bents.
Keep council spending down.
Dont expand Bureaucracy.
Dont hobble our personal liberty or rights to develop.
Dont waste our money on extravagant Colosseums and pyramids.

Ardern has used the Christchurch terror attack as an excuse to implement her own tyranical ambitions under the guise of making New Zealand safer… and the fools believed her… and allowed her to make us less safe!
Less safe from Terrorism, and certainly less safe from her Tyrannical Police State.
She has not disarmed any criminals… but has disarmed Law abiding New Zealanders.

This is what the 2nd amendment is all about and why New Zealand needs a new constitution that contains these truths which outlaws the government from passing such Laws as they have just recently done with the Arms Amendment bill.

From what have seen in the news it is my opinion that the Organizers of the Race based lobby group’SOUL’ (Save Our Unique Landscape) who have instigated the ongoing protests at the Fletcher Buildings development in Ihumatao are nothing like the characters that they seek to portray themselves to be to the New Zealand public… the ‘Pacifist’ face of a righteous cause protesting a past injustice, but are in fact Dangerous schemers and opportunists harboring complete contempt for the Law.
I want to talk about their Machiavellian scheming and intents… esp the devious means by which they hope to achieve their goals yet first I need to lay out the frame of reference… the stage upon which these ‘Actors’ are plotting.

The Longer this Spectacle continues… the more the evidence mounts that they want to manipulate the situation to their own advantage and create a Riotous revolt for the express purpose of extorting from the government what they want… And Jacinda Ardern is the perfect spineless and unprincipled weakling who will cave in to their extortion and give them what they want… not because they are entitled to anything… but simply to make this mess ‘Go away’.

There is a very real danger of things getting very Ugly.
A strong and principled plan needs to be implemented in dealing with these dangerous radicals.

Like many woman, Ardern has Janus type personalities… she is scary …stone cold ruthless to those whom she despises, yet there is another side to her that is pathetically Feeble… both of Mind and of heart… and that is in dealing with her own ‘Naughty Woke Children’.
Look at her track record!
Its a fact that since Arden has taken power that we have seen Lefty uprisings turning up the heat on their own ‘PM’ because they know she is a soft touch.
I only need to refer you to how State workers in both the Health and Education sectors have both staged ‘Protest strikes’ for their own interests and were wildly successful… Ardern being incapable of saying *No!* to them…. why? Well firstly she is a very shallow operator who weighs lightly principles of Law… Due processes, spends almost no time in sober contemplation, but is driven by her feelings and a desire to be seen as someone who Rushes into the fray with her shallow womanly Liberalism to the rescue!
As such… at the pitiable sight of *Her own pet social demographics* waving emotive socialist Banners* She will relent to them… irrespective of whether or not their demands are just or fair.
She is consumed by her own vanity… and so another reason she is incapable of saying ‘No’ to Noisy Picketers because she is consumed about her own Political legacy as a Socialist Leader of ‘historic significance’ and to her Ego the well being of our Nation must take second place.
She is terrified at the thought that History may record that she said NO to ‘the victims of White privilege’… and she thinks nothing of breaking out the Public cheque book to make the noisy problem go away… even if her ‘solution’ is a bad one in the long term.

Ardern should never have waded in to the troubles at Ihumatao other than to say she expects the police to uphold the law and for Fletcher building to be able to commence their Development plans that they have the lawful right to do… yet she could not help herself and she has played into the hands of Troublemakers.
Ardern has overstepped her rightful authority as PM and trampled the law underfoot!
She has embroiled herself where she ought never to have set foot and in so doing has succeeded in entrenching the troublemakers who ought to be evicted *and prosecuted* for trespassing and interfering with a Lawful enterprise.
Yet now she is in a bind… and because she is so weak… the troublemakers from SOUL know that the greater the storm they can now Brew up at Ihumatau will without doubt succeed in achieving their goals… She will give into their demands… and they will chuckle to themselves that their absolute disregard for the law… and all their intimidation tactics will have given them a big payday… and this successful extortion of Weak government will only serve as a blueprint for ongoing future troubles!
SOUL will have proven that they can ignore such things as ‘Full and final Treaty settlements’.

Now let me talk about the Police who due to Arderns Leadership incompetence are fast becoming the Meat in the sandwich!
The New Zealand Police have been placed in an extremely difficult situation in fulfilling their duties to maintain Law and Order and prevent things getting way out of hand, and we can see from several different New reports that the strategy of the Troublemakers running the Protests is to use the brain dead Media to portray themselves as peaceful victims of Oppressive Police
treatment, not only to weaken the Police, and cause them to falter in carrying out their duties… effectively allowing the protesters to call the shots… but also I believe we can see these Subversive thinkers are looking for ways to create a ‘Bastion Point’ type outbreak of conflict with the Police.
While they are busy feigning they are peaceful to the media, nothing would please them more than if things got out of hand!
They know that any clash with Police that the Liberal media will sensationalise it and that this News could spark the Protest to swell exponentially as every Maori Radical comes out of the Bushes, and Bus loads of Woke White Social justice Warrior Antifa types descending on Ihumatau like a Barbarian horde!
Every unemployed New Zealander on welfare would be there!
These are the types that see no Irony in hating the government while collecting government welfare!
As a friend of mine commented on line…. dont any of these people have jobs?

Another question is who is funding S.O.U.L?
Are they receiving Government money to finance their operation via some convoluted means?

The Troublemakers rely on the media misrepresenting the facts and grossly misreporting the truth… that any altercation with the Police deliberately started by them, will be reported by the media as if it was the Police who were belligerent towards them!
And this is precisely the narrative we are being fed by the media… ‘Peaceful protesters at Ihumātao have been cut off by police who have descended on the site in increased numbers.’

It is apparent that the Police themselves are aware of their dicey situation and that by maintaining a close and friendly interaction with the protesters were able to gain intel on a planned escalation and attempt to Re-occupy Fletcher Buildings property, and were only thwarted in their ambitions by the police preemptively calling in Reinforcements.

It is absurd to believe that the Police have any desire to provoke unnecessary strife that could quickly get out of hand and endanger public safety…esp at night and from a Video taken by one of the Stupid Protesters Monday night we got to see how these troublemakers are behaving towards the Police when the media is no where to be found.
It reveals disgusting racist taunts and remarks against officers… Some presumed to being Maori are accused of being traitors whom ‘should be ashamed’ of upholding the law
Another ‘Dark skinned’ Officer is presumed of being a Non-New Zealander was to to ‘Fuck off home’…

*This is the True face of SOUL*… what comes out after dark… and these Policemen showed absolute professionalism in the face of such provocation and it is a credit to them.
New Zealanders should pay little attention to the complaints by the protesters that the Police actions were excessive, and I also congratulate them for doing an excellent job in thwarting the devious intentions of S.O.U.L by bring in reinforcements!
Yet we should not think this will be the last time they try to occupy the Fletcher Building site.

Attribute to Superintendent Jill Rogers, Counties Manukau District Commander:

Police recognises the lawful right to protest. For the past two weeks, our purpose at Ihumātao has been to uphold the law and keep the peace.

We have had regular meetings with organisers to ensure protest action remains peaceful.

Yesterday, during a meeting with organisers, the protestors communicated their intent to move past the cordon and reoccupy the land. In response to this, Police was required to increase our presence at the site. Officers had to be taken off their other duties to come to the protest site.

Despite repeated warnings from police, a large group of protestors attempted to bypass the police cordon.

Police attempted to stop those trespassing, but protestors pushed their way past our staff.

The protestors eventually vacated the private land and no arrests were made. Police reject allegations that a protestor was pushed over.

There is misinformation being circulated suggesting that Police have broken agreements with protestors.

Police cannot facilitate unlawful activity by allowing protestors who have been served an eviction notice to trespass on private land.

We would like to acknowledge the incredible professionalism our staff showed yesterday evening, and throughout the last two weeks despite at times being subjected to verbal abuse, being physically shoved and even in some cases being spat on.

Police will continue to assess the situation and our operational response, including talking to the protest organisers.

Police supports any process that will achieve a successful outcome for the parties involved.

Its almost a given that Arden will fail to publicly instruct the Police to uphold the law, and protect the property rights of Fletcher Building to start their development forthwith, which may require another escalation of Police numbers and putting an end to this protest should the protesters refuse to disband in accordance with the Law… it may require mass arrests and convictions of protesters… the sooner the better to prevent this situation getting way out of hand.

Update: ‘Radical rebels’: Sean Plunket blasts Ihumātao protesters

Protesters at Ihumātao are “radical rebels” who “want the world to burn”, according to MagicTalk host Sean Plunket.
Plunket let rip on the demonstrators who have been protesting at the south Auckland site for the past few weeks, after occupiers were served an eviction notice. They say the land is sacred and want a planned housing development on the site blocked.

The protesters have been in a standoff with police ever since, with tensions peaking on Monday night. Increased policing numbers were deployed, and protest leader Pania Newton claimed she had been pushed to the ground by an officer – something police reject.

A video Newshub reported on Wednesday also shows a protester racially abusing an officer.

Currently, protesters are in talks with relevant parties to find a way forward. The Prime Minister announced last month that there would be a temporary halt to construction until that happened.

But Plunket said it was clear that protesters had no legal right to be there, and should leave the site immediately.

There is a battle going on over the minds of our nation that if we loose… the Government will fully control what views and opinions your children will imbibe… and determine what beliefs they eventually subscribe to… and what values they hold!

‘VJM Publishing’ is a New Zealand Based Independent commentator and Blogger who dares to march to the beat of their own drum with complete disregard to what passes as ‘the official narrative’.
I dont subscribe to much of what they publish, yet I greatly respect independence of mind… and the courage to speak out against corrupt powers that be… and in this sense VJM publishing is very much kindred spirit to Eternal Vigilance Blog… and it is *always* disturbing to me when I read about such activities by the New Zealand Police that involve people who have only exercised their legitimate rights to expressing their own opinions and beliefs without engaging in threats.
It is not essential prerequisites for me to either agree with the opinions being expressed, or the manor in which they were delivered for me to appreciate that *Every time the Police visit someone in New Zealand because of the Lawful expression of their own opinions that this is an extreme danger to *The Rights of all of us to Free speech*… and that the worst possible thing for our country is to allow ourselves to fall into apathy… and for us to become inured at this serious breach of proper Police conduct… and socially conditioned to the degree that it no longer triggers alarm… but becomes acceptable… and routine…. and the act of protest against it then becoming ‘radical’ and ‘suspicious’ .. in the herd mentality.

I asked permission to Screen shot VJM Publishing’s post and to blog it.
I also asked… ‘How does this make you feel?
How will this affect your future posts to the net?
Not to say that you are feeble, yet still I can already assume that such a visit will cause you… and anyone that has been intimidated in such a way by the *State to hesitate expressing opinions on specific topics that are the focus of the Governments agenda and actions…that before this visit you would have made with full conviction that they need to be said.
I can imagine if this happened to me that I would naturally feel this way myself… and it is this psychological intimidation that is such a threat to free speech… even without other actions such as prosecutions… de-platforming… etc.

From my study of how best to deal with this situation, I think VJNP did very well as Legal advice suggests there is little to be gained for the targets of this Police attention, and a lot loose by voluntarily talking to them… yet I cant help but wonder if a few specific questions at the door could be informative as to which actual ‘internet conversations’ you engaged in ‘triggered’ them to schedule you for a visit.
We can already with confidence know that anyone they ‘visit’ like this is on their watch list and it is highly likely that your Internet associates are also under surveillance.
It is dangerous for you to engage them voluntarily, and even if you get arrested for some charge you still have the right to refuse to give a statement…

And so yet again here am I… alerting you once more to the fact that this Police harassment of Free speech against the critics of Ardern’s government is still ongoing… and blogging a warning to my countrymen imploring you all to rally against this tyranny that is being systematically established in our country via the ambitions of Jacinda Ardern’s Coalition government, and the acquiescence of the National party.

The article below which follows my commentary is very well worth reading (Or listening to on Leighton Smith Podcast 24)…. thank you Robin for sending me the link.

There is so much about this opinion piece that is weighty… esp the fact that the Left Bitch all day every day about Trumps manor when in truth he is practicing Street fighter rules… the very same ‘Urban warfare’ rules the left uses (yet cloak in PC Sheeps clothing) … and is beating the crap out of them!
*That is what Makes Trump Great*, and that is what the Left are crying about….
He is succeeding where preceding, Tamer, more congenial Men have utterly failed!
Appeasers, Compromisers, Sell outs, etc.
Only a Man with Gigantic Balls… and personal belief…. tenacity… would dare to pursue policies that would reverse the relentless drive of the globalist agenda on such fundamental things as Pandering to the UN, Climate change hysteria, and Mass Immigration.
And that is not Arrogance…. that is virtue.

Yet it amazes me how effective the incessant little whiny bitch complaints from the Global leftists are in conning such a substantial portion of the worlds population into enmity against Trump…. not because they can articulate reasoned and nuanced criticisms… but because they are so fickle… pompous.. and childish in their thinking… habitually judging things on their exterior forms… which is why people like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders find it so easy to maintain their Support.

Lefty supporters prefer the sallow end of the pond… to the degree that they ‘block their ears’ and refuse to listen to any argument if it emanates from a person they have been told to consider Rude, Obnoxious, Un educated, etc.

The Left’s entire political platform itself is only knee deep… yet their Demagogues all are practiced at appearing ‘ Polite’, ‘Caring’, etc.
That is not to say that they are are not dirty fighters… they are absolutely Corrupt… but they do their best to cloak their Malice and hate and Political Bullying under sheepish skins of defending the oppressed… and their Sheeple dont even care when *their tyrants* trample their political adversaries underfoot… they cheer!
These same idiots rank Obama as the greatest American President of all time!
We all know just how polished a Liar Barack Obama is… a master of Oratory… yet he was in my opinion *America’s worst ever president!*

I would never claim *all* Liberal policies are wrong or without merit or that all the policies on the right are just, still the electioneering promises and scare tactics of Liberal Politicians know no bounds and they only need to gear their rhetoric the lower 75% demographic on the Political IQ bell curve to be formidable in the race for Power.
Fortunately it is also true that ‘you cant fool all of the people all of the time’ and there have been many occurrences that give reason for hope that the Lies of Liberalism and their Global Agenda can be stopped.
Many Many people are seeing through the Facade of Liberal Paternalism for the malevolent anti Freedom Tyranny that it really is.
In this Ideological struggle for power the next few years are critical.

As a Libertarian I cannot call myself a Bona fide Trump supporter, as he does many things I disagree with, yet I can say with 100% certainty that I am glad he defeated Clinton, and that he is the Man of the Hour… doing far more good than wrong, and I hope he wins in 2020 …. There is no one comparative to him in stature that can do such an effective job in putting the breaks on the Left/right Global Agenda. Trumps Arrogance is his virtue!
And as an ideological ‘Street fighting’ Non-PC activist myself, When I watch Trump I see a great man *who really does care* for his people, and for what is right… He’s genuine… he does not pull his punches… In Trump I see a kindred spirit.
Despite his failings (and there are many)…I like him… and watching as things have unfolded I have modified some of my own views… I was very critical of Trump when he was running for election.
Yet he has grown in my respect.
Fighting the Politically correctness that shields the evils and Tyranny of Lefty Liberalism, I know what its like to be down in the trenches getting dirty… Ideologically fighting the Zombies… hand to hand.
It is easy for adversaries to label me a crackpot or a ‘Savage’… or ‘an apologist for the Far right’.
I used to be quite concerned about such Ad hominem slander. yet now I realise that if you are going to fight the good fight, and not shy away from contentious issues simply to out of fear of being labeled ‘far right’.. that such cowardice is a victory for those who seek to silence your voice.
In reality *If you are not being singled out for slander by the left… I question your effectiveness!

My leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” Here’s my answer:

There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? Has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same.

This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.

I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about lying, as Obama did, about what went down on the streets of Ferguson, Mo., or lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks. I don’t see anything “statesmanlike” in weaponizing the Internal Revenue Service to destroy your political opponents and stifle any dissent.

But while the left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in its way, the right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety.

With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Trump is America’s first wartime president in the Culture War.

During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors. Ulysses Grant was a drinker whose behavior in peacetime might well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming. Had Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today. Lincoln rightly recognized that, explaining to Grant’s critics: “I cannot spare this man. He fights.”

Trump is fighting. And not only is he fighting, he’s defeating the left using its own tactics.

Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” is a book so essential to the liberals’ war against America that it was the playbook for the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis.

Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do.

First, Trump isolated CNN. He made it personal. Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employed ridicule, which Alinsky described as “the most powerful weapon of all.”

He has left CNN and its friends with two options: report the news accurately, or ratchet up the propaganda.

The problem is that, if they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the Democratic Party they serve. It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (i.e., propaganda) that keeps the left alive.

Imagine, for example, if CNN et al. had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the Obama administration’s weaponizing of the IRS to against its political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Obama administration’s cover-up.

This leaves them no other option but to ratchet up the fake news, conjuring up the next “nothing burger” and devoting 24 hours a day to hysterical rants about how it’s “worse than Nixon.”

As they become more hysterical, they become more obvious. Each new effort only makes it more clear to any objective observer that Trump is and always has been right about the fake news media.

Do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”? Of course I do. These aren’t those times. This is war.

So, say anything you want about this president. I get it. He can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights.
