It is to a large degree the only communication I have with many Family and friends.
When I leave…. I will effectively loose touch with people I hold dear and groups I have enjoyed being a member.
This pains me to the degree that I despair doing this… yet I must go.
Why am I leaving?
Because Facebook is evil… Massively evil!.. a major player in the mind-control business for the grand Globalist agenda and the enslavement of the entire human race.
Facebook is Satanic… day by day feeding toxic ideas and lies directly into the minds of the masses while relentlessly suffocating the most important voices who raise the alarm and expose the absolute political corruption that is afoot.
In protest and disgust, and the only way I can dish out a tiny measure of ‘Justice’… is for me to leave… and shake the very dust from my sandals.
Who cares you say?
Facebook will still be fully operational without my puny voice, yet I am not alone in doing this…. an Exodus of Freedom loving Free thinkers has begun… and I’ll be joining that caravan out of here in search of Freedom, and the more of us who leave… the more ‘Justice’ will be served.

Believe me when I say that I fully understand how difficult it is to even contemplate leaving… it really is one of the great tests of moral fiber in our time… as it involves great personal loss for the sake of doing the right thing…. it is a matter of values and integrity.
Believe me when I say that I am doing this because I Love you all… and I love Freedom… and so I must put my money where my mouth is… and act.
Only by example can I communicate to you all the seriousness of what is at stake, and what we all ought to be doing.

A person can make all sorts of excuses and reasons to compromise their principles… to avoid making a painful decision… to excuse their ongoing voluntary collusion with some evil.
Many will say that Freedom lovers are ‘quitting’ and that they ought instead to stay here and fight it out’ yet that is what we have been doing for the past decade and it has not prevented the Rot setting in… it is a failed strategy because the Evil powers running this freak show have *guaranteed* the overwhelming political slant that the Sheeple are fed.
On top of outright deplatforming individuals and groups, via various means of AI facebook has long ceased to be an open forum where Freedom activism can be successfully carried on.
Any bold voices still here are targeted for suppression so that their posts simply reach nobody…. so you are effectively speaking to the void.
So in this sense by leaving, the Freedom Advocate is not hurting their effectiveness to any significant degree… in fact by staying there… you are choosing to muzzle yourself because you could be elsewhere on another platform growing a larger audience and reaching more people!
Don’t kid yourselves that you are staying here for the sake of Freedom… you are choosing the low path… making the easy choice… because you are not prepared to count the cost.
The only real recourse we who love Freedom have is to leave… with our dignity… refusing to surrender our values and beliefs… and finding somewhere else to commune together.
I regret that our departure will accelerate the pace and intensity of Facebook’s relentless indoctrination and Agenda Programming.

With regard to the up and coming referendum on the right to assisted death for the terminally ill, and to politics in general, a fundamental question asked by Libertarians is Who owns your life?
Answer: You do! Not society.
Upon that basis I believe a Yes vote for the right to assisted dying for the terminally ill is the moral vote because it is the only consistent position with the principle that (politically speaking) *you own yourself*.
Otherwise you become the slave/ property of society.
The above statement is clear cut, yet not without controversy.
The ‘No’ voters think this reform erodes the sanctity of Human life. So argues the New Conservative party.
I say it does the very opposite thing.
It removes power from the State and gives it back to individuals to make their own choices.
I myself am both a Libertarian, and a Christian, yet many Christians will not be able to reconcile my ‘Yes vote’ with how they interpret ‘Christian values’, and in fact many people… both believers and infidels can’t imagine how Christianity and Libertarianism can be coherently united and consistent in application.
More on these nuances later, first of all I want to talk about the curious mental gymnastics I am forced to engage in this election whereby my votes on both referendums will be in conflict with the expressed policies of the political party I have decided to support. New Conservatives.

I forgive people for this default starting assumption.
Hopefully those of you who find my decisions incredulous will take the trouble to read this post whereby I will do my best to extricate myself from being written off as a nutbar.
I know that my choices will win few friends, and will more likely annoy any I already have because splitting my votes will tend to draw the ire and consternation of *all camps*.
Nonetheless this is the course I am choosing to navigate.
We here in New Zealand live in chaotic times politically speaking, and the two referenda being run in unison with the national elections are two highly polarising subjects… which is why they have become referenda as neither of the two large parties have the Nads to legislate these reforms, or run with them as election policies.
The assisted dying referendum for the terminally ill has come about because of a bill presented to parliament by Act Leader David Seymour.
I will be supporting Seymour’s reform, yet I won’t be giving Act my party vote.
Even though Act have never been a great party, deciding not to vote Act this election was not an easy decision to make, as what other party even remotely represents my essential values?
On several key matters of personal freedom David Seymour had stood head and shoulders above the rest of parliament in how he conducted himself this election cycle, with respect to the issues of free Speech, and his opposition to the shameful way the new Firearms prohibitions were enacted.
In the light of these noble actions I was definitely leaning towards giving Act my vote and encouraging others to do the same, yet as time progressed, Seymour’s virtues became overshadowed by other unconscionable actions he would proceed to commit which have undermined my support.
With regards to the new abortion Legislation he not only supported late term abortions but also failed to vote for a proposed amendment that would have defended the rights of babies born alive after botched Abortions to receive medical aid rather than being neglected to die.
The whole basis of the pro-abortion arguments are that a woman is sovereign over her own body and the government has no authority to dictate what she does within her own body… yet once a baby has in fact been born… is *outside* the woman’s body, then they ought to have the full rights of an independent human being!
I consider these failings by David Seymour to be morally reprehensible.
And how disgusting that such laws were passed under a parliament led by a Woke PM who claims she entered politics ‘For the Children’!!!!
Seymour is fully complicit in this foul business.
I was also disgusted with the way he treated some of his most loyal candidates with regards to this elections Act party list, and I have always disliked what I see as a general lack of spine on some of the most important social issues facing our Nation such as ending the Race based seats in parliament, and his support for the UN Global compact on migration.
These are not attributes of a leader I can endorse.
In the not too distant past voting for me was a far less convoluted enterprise.
During the first decade of this new Millennium voting was relatively easy because New Zealand had a vibrant Libertarian Party for whom I could cast my vote with confidence, and for many elections in the second decade, I stood as a Libertarian Independent, and so obviously I at least knew which candidate I would support.. yet the question of where to place my party vote has never been an easy decision since the Libertarianz Party disbanded.
It is a matter of political folklore that the Act Party are a ‘Libertarian party’, yet this is to the largest extent a myth.
A myth that is mostly to the detriment of Libertarianism.
Politics in New Zealand truly is a confounding mess and almost madness to try and untangle… which causes many not to bother trying.
Act may have been founded with the aid of some Libertarian minded people, yet there were also many Ex Labour Party Neo-liberal Bigwigs like Roger Douglas and Richard Prebble, and so instead of advocating any Libertarian social reforms, Act quickly became a Crony Capitalist/’National Socialist party’ that supported some Free market Economics, yet maintained Welfare State socialism with regards to virtually everything else.
Take a look at the picture (above) that exposes how far the National party have drifted from their original charter!
If only they had remained true to their original aspirations upon which they were founded!
Act became the most Right Wing party of New Zealand.. to the right of National.. a lobby to bludgeon Left wing heavy Taxation Anti-Business ambitions of Labor and their more radical minions yet despite lofty rhetoric Act absolutely failed to stand for any reforms on individual liberty.
This has remained the case throughout their history perhaps with the one exception during the party leadership by the Great New Zealander Don Brash.
It was under Brash that Act came anywhere near a forthright stand on any law reform that was a matter of personal freedom, when Brash came out on TV in favour of ending cannabis prohibition.
His party associates like John Banks nearly had a heart attack!
Brash stint with Act was short, and any mention of Cannabis law reform left when he did.
Act has always and only played lip service to being the party of small government and personal freedom.
This is because apart from Brash the Party has been run by a bunch of Ball-less wonders.
The most disappointing for me was Jamie Whyte… because of all of them he knew better.
Most of them put money matters above personal liberty and social justice.
Act are not Nazis, yet their party is part way down a continuum at the end of which is full blown fascism.
Labour are not Communists, yet their party is well down the continuum at the end of which stands full blown Communism. Today under Ardern their policies and loyalties lie not with the interests of New Zealanders but with UN Socialist Globalism.
By labeling Act as ‘Libertarian’ the leftist media managed to confound Libertarianism with being Far right.
This is disgraceful slander.
Libertarianism is fundamentally different to every other political ideology.
Act’s alignment with *Fascism* rather than true capitalism and Freedom, is why the True Libertarians who initially helped found Act, quickly realised what was afoot and jumped ship.
They formed their own genuine Libertarian party, and so Act became just another Party against whom the Libertarianz party had to cross swords.
For more than a decade the Libertarianz Party fought valiantly for Individual liberty and rights against ever expanding Government encroachment, yet sadly after years of courageous activism they were forced to throw in the towel from lack of traction and financial support.
MMp’s 5% mark to get an MP into parliament is in my opinion far too high, and represents a barrier to breaking the stranglehold the two major parties enjoy.
The Political playing field is also heavily tilted in favour of maintaining the status quo, and New Zealanders themselves are heavily conditioned to their chains.
The Libertarianz party could not sustain itself against the overwhelming odds.
Freedom lovers failed to rally under their noble banner from a delusion of ‘wasting their votes’.
Well… I ask… where did casting your votes for other parties get our Nation?
Because New Zealanders did not heed the Libertarians on their Soap boxes, and rally behind them is why our nation now experiences the dawning of an era of Tyranny!
I implore Freedom lovers to not make the same mistake!
Stop voting for the very parties that have abandoned our values and taken our nation towards complete enslavement!
The demise of the Libertarianz Party spelled the end of New Zealanders clear choice between Freedom and various levels of Tyranny.
Between Justice and various levels of oppression.
Between fairness in economics vs heavy Political obstacles.
Libertarian minded New Zealanders were cast adrift… forced to swim about in a stinking cesspool, looking for the best place to put their democratic votes.
The political climate and darkened mentality of our times have made this a very dirty business.
Most of the wares on offer by todays mongers are of dubious quality.
The Libertarian pines over his ale, looking out upon a scene of chaos, confusion, and mayhem.
Is there any hope to be found?
The question of which political parties (if any) should the Libertarian now give their vote is a highly troublesome dilemma, as at a glance there appear only shades of grey tending towards complete blackness.
It is very difficult to determine whether *any* of the parties standing ought to be supported.
The closest way to describe what voting now entails for a Kiwi Libertarian is to liken the decision making process to solving a bunch of ‘Trolley Problems’ that will be familiar to those who have to some degree studied moral philosophy.
‘The trolley problems’ are designed to highlight the many complexities involved in dealing with moral dilemmas in which *means and ends* are far from ideal.
Solution tends towards making pragmatic determinations hoping for the best outcomes attainable via the least repugnant means… for the overall sake of committing the lesser Evil.
The trouble is the lesser evil is still evil.

There is no space here or sense in attempting to fully articulate the conundrums involved. It must suffice to say this is an abhorrent ‘game’ for any Idealist to be forced to play, and being independent thinkers, the once united Libertarians have now fragmented… going their own ways… as each individual makes their own determinations as to how to solve the set of trolley problems presented to them at election time. This election is particularly significant as we also must vote on the two referenda.
In truth the most moral of men and woman, and the greatest leaders of history have had to face frightful moral dilemmas, and most of them have had to carry the weight of harsh criticism for the decisions they made from lesser mortals who would have been stupefied and paralyzed had they themselves been faced with the same crisis.
To shrink from tuff calls is symptomatic of Moral weakness.
One day we all will stand before our Maker and give account of ourselves, and it is He who shall determine the virtue of those who made tuff calls.
Two examples might be the decision to use the Atom bomb on Japan in 1945, another might be Churchill’s decision to ally with Stalin for the sake of defeating Hitler.
Both of these involve weighty moral dilemmas that provoke strong criticism to this day.
Given today’s circumstances I know a few Ex Libertarianz party members who today throw up their hands in disgust… and refuse to vote… the irony is that not voting… *is their vote*… to do nothing.
In the perspective of the Trolley problems not voting is the equivalent of never choosing to throw the lever… not intervening at all to try and mitigate any crisis that is unfolding, and allowing things to take their course… no matter how horrendous the result of their inaction might be, or how things could have turned out had they been brave enough to reach for the switch.
Most of us have heard the saying “Evil prevails when good men do nothing”.
For me *to automatically* determine to ‘do nothing’ is no escape from moral culpability in what ensues, it is in fact an abdication of moral duty… a most heinous moral failing… maybe the worst of them all!
Bible Theologians would call this ‘The sin of Omission’… and one example of this in the Bible is told by Jesus when asked about the moral duty to ‘love thy neighbour as thyself’.
He spoke of the predicament of the man who was beaten and robbed, yet the ‘Religious Jew’ walked past him without giving him any aid. It was only when the Good Samaritan came along that the man received care.
By doing nothing The Religious Jew was deemed to be wicked, and so *automatic inaction* cannot be the moral position…if there exists at all any plausible means of steering things towards a more desirable outcome without committing unconscionable evils in the process. ‘Not Voting’ cannot absolve a person from the resulting evils his inaction inevitably entails.
It’s like walking past our sick and dying country on the other side of the road as if it’s not your problem, rather than inconveniencing yourself and getting your hands dirty.
The reality is that though no registered political Party standing in October 17 is fundamentally a Libertarian party, there is still a broad range of parties standing and the fact is it still makes a massive difference which ones manage to get their hands on the levers of Power.
Lives are at stake!
Freedom is at stake!
Quality of life is at stake!

When I survey the Political landscape, despite the absence of a Libertarian party, judged by their policies and election campaigns certain parties do stand out as vastly superior to either National or Labour.
Some are worse, such as the Greens, and The Maori Party.
Some are no better such as NZ First, Top.
Many ex Libertarianz will be voting for Act, yet personally speaking of the two parties that most clearly articulate principles, and values that I considered honorable, it is the New Conservatives who come out on top.
Their forthright defense of Free speech.
Their rejection of 1080.
Repeal all the new and hastily enacted Firearms prohibitions created in the wake of the Christchurch terrorist attack.
Their defense of National sovereignty in opposition to UN Globalist slavery.
Their rejection of Ardern’s Covid 19 ‘elimination strategy, Lockdowns, and their absolute rejection of compulsory vaccinations.
No to carbon taxes, first 20k of income tax free.
Their rejection of ‘Transgender indoctrination’ in schools against parents wishes.
Their rejection of the UN Global compact on migration, etc all these clearly stated policies mean New Conservatives trump the Act Party by a country mile, and that is why I will be giving them my party vote, and having had a coffee with their Hamilton West candidate Rudy du Plooy last week I will also be giving him my candidate vote.
It is fitting that here I discuss one of NC’s most important policies, and examples of their party’s integrity and courage and that is their forthright call for the end of Treaty separatism and the race based seats in parliament.
Rudy is an immigrant from South Africa and so he has experienced the evils of Apartheid and appreciates just how violent and unjust Racist politics and bigotry can become.
That is why his party is calling for racial equality before the law.
The Treatment of White South Africans currently going on over there is appalling! Yet not a peep is raised about it by our Woke PM Ardern… because ultimately socialists like her support the oppression of White people.
Many of her own policies are heavily prejudiced against Pakeha New Zealanders, and for all her talk about humanitarian migration, she remains silent in opening New Zealand’s doors to help more oppressed white South Africans… because they are white.
This too despite the fact that White South Africans integrate well into our society as they share common traditional values… yet these are the very values socialists like her are determined to destroy.
Statistically speaking Ardern wants Less white people in New Zealand, and she can turn a blind eye to the fate of white farmers there under the contemptible socialist bromide that they are paying the dues of the white race for the past apartheid regime.
By Socialist math two wrongs do make a right.
Hence Ardern has little conscience about supporting Racist legislations under the pretense of ‘De-colonising’ New Zealand.
In New Plymouth which is a hot bed of Radical Maori separatist activism the NC candidate Murry Chong has heroically weathered a Tempest of outrage for his forthright stand against attempts to further entrench fraudulent Waitangi Apartheid and Treaty partnership doctrines and institutions there. He has suffered the most skewed press that mischaracterised his defense of Racial equality as ‘Opposition to Maori Representation’… which is a complete lie.
What he and his fellow New Conservatives oppose is the ongoing creation of special seats of power whereby Iwi can extort the rest of the people perpetually… as if they have more rights than everyone else.
They seek to rid our nation of such corrupt politics, and when the Maori seats and the rest of the apartheid institutions are abolished, He understands that Maori rights will still be protected by the Law in common with everyone else. Maori will still be able to stand of Parliament and Council, only to do so they will have to campaign before the entire community which will cut off the truly *racist radicals* for ever attaining office because their nasty bigoted views and ambitions will never fly with the whole of the people… and that is how a democracy is supposed to function!
The Racist radicals know that should apartheid politics be brought to an end… so too will their ability to extort unearned and undeserved wealth and privilege be broken.
So many New Zealanders have completely forgotten the most important fundamentals of justice and good government!
The New Conservatives have candidates in every electorate including the Maori seats.
Personally I don’t think it was the right thing to stand in those electorates, yet having said that I appreciate the Nads it takes to do so.
Their candidates in the Maori electorates will face heavy angst from many Maori who have been brainwashed into thinking their party policy to abolish the race based electoral system is a demonstration of anti-Maori bigotry. They will face threats. Yet should they maintain their composure and speak truth with eloquence they will be able to present their case with love.
Truth and principle, and Righteousness are on their side!
You know The New Conservatives are the party that threaten Left wing Radical socialism as no other party is enduring the hate and violence as they are…
I salute all NC candidates for their bravery… The one-eyed mainstream media takes no more pleasure than to pillory the small parties and their candidates who bravely challenge the ‘norms’ of the status quo.
Act’s David Seymour in private professes that the race based system is corrupt and ruining our country yet does not have the balls to say so in public at election time.
That is cowardly. That is unprincipled scheming, and demonstrates the sort of Game playing politician he really is.
How is he any different for the scoundrel Winston Peters who betrayed his supporters last election with regards to making the abolishment of the race-based seats a bottom line for coalition talks?
Sadly… when you dig deep down… despite many good things David has done… he and Winston are not as different as he likes to think.
He too is a game player.
The Leftist radicals of Labour, the Greens, and the Maori Party demonstrate their absolute disregard for fair elections in that they have implemented a strategy of destroying New Conservative election bill boards all about the country… despite their own parties getting far more Taxpayer loot to fund their own campaigns!
Like I said earlier about the struggles of the Libertarianz Party before them… New Zealand elections are far from fair… far for being fought on a level playing field, and so The New Conservatives face an uphill battle against dirty political tactics at every step.
I urge every New Zealander who is alarmed at our headlong plunge into tyranny under Jacinda Ardern to get behind the brave and principled New Conservative party!
If 5% of us do… they will be in parliament and possibly even be included in a coalition government, most likely with National and Act.
This would position them well to lever National into making concessions in alignment with our Values and principles… away from the direction Ardern has carried us.
These are good people who hold to the traditional values that made New Zealand a great and prosperous place to live.
They care about all New Zealanders.
I attended a public meeting a few months back in Te Awamutu where I heard several candidates speak, including the party’s passionate and compassionate deputy, Elliot Ikilei.
He spoke very well, and I was particularly impressed with his insights into the many social conditions that are common for troubled youth that play a large role in such important issues in Maori criminality.
He articulated that from his experience working in this field that all the separatist rhetoric about Maori crime statistics as being evidence of systemic oppression of Maori from colonisation are absolutely false!
Instead he argued that the main driver of Maori criminality was broken homes and a lack of a Father in the house, and thus all the ‘positive discrimination’ going on in the name of ‘closing the gaps’ between Maori and the rest of the country absolutely miss the fundamental issues.
He described how the institution of the Domestic Purposes benefit *was devastating for Maori* because that was corrosive to maintaining families, promoted single parent-ism, and it’s institution correlates perfectly with the exponential growth of Maori dependence on welfare and Broken homes.
Thus Elliot understands that socialism is a dangerous trap!
I myself also know Maori must take ownership of their own violence and substance abuse… these are not evils that can be justly blamed on their Pakeha neighbours but represent the ugly truth of a serious lack of wholesome values that are requisite in having happy homes and personal prosperity in a free and modern society.
Maori need to cut with the shameful blame, and take more ownership of their own mess!
I like the New Conservative party very much.
They have their hearts in the right place.
They offer real and much needed alternatives.
None of them appear to me to be in politics for powers sake, yet they are not perfect.
They have many policies and values I myself hold dear, yet I know they are not a consistent Libertarian party.
They are Democrats… with all the weakness that entails.’
This being so I see great opportunity for improvement, and given the chance I would like to engage in healthy dialogue to see if they are open to reasonable challenge on some of their policies which I do not endorse.
I have already mentioned that I will be voting yes for the right to assisted dying.
This is at variance with the New Conservatives.
Maybe sometime soon I will write a blogpost explaining in more detail why I believe they are wrong to oppose this legal reform, yet because this current post is already insanely long, I want to finish by discussing the New Conservative policy of Citizens Binding Referenda and my intention to vote ‘yes’ for Cannabis law reform in the forthcoming referenda which is again against the expressed policy of the New Conservatives.
At the Te Awamutu meeting my friend and fellow Libertarian Robin Thomsen and I introduced ourselves to Elliot and engaged in a short conversation.
Elliot was happy to talk and spoke candidly.
After a few other subjects I broached the topic of the Cannabis Referendum and asked what his party would do should they succeed in getting into parliament, yet also the people of New Zealand vote for Cannabis legalisation?
He said his party would honor that result despite it being contrary to their own policy and hopes.
That answer was consistent with their policy of citizens binding referenda and demonstrates integrity to that political school of thought despite the result going against their own opinions as to what is best for the country.
As far as ending the war on cannabis being ‘bad’ for New Zealand I emphatically reject that position.
This is a topic I have involved myself for many years having experienced first hand the injustice of criminalising cannabis users, and understand the manifold other detrimental effects these bad laws have on our society. I have been an activist for reform for over 30 years, and in fact it was activism to ‘Free the weed’ that was my first foray into politics trying to fix a broke system.
I would jump from hedge to hedge… covertly distributing ‘NORML’ Pamphlets in Tauranga letterboxes in the dead of night.
I knew the difference between dishonesty and violence, from peacefully enjoying a doobie with friends in my own home… I knew I was being oppressed and that the Law needed to be changed.

The point I wish to finish on, and one I hope the New Conservatives are open to reconsider is the weird way in which they promote binding Citizens referenda in the face of knowing it is just as likely for the majority of people to vote for laws they believe to be *Bad* as it is for good… and I am using the Cannabis referenda as an example.
Is it not apparent to them that *Mob Rule* is no guarantee of Good law or justice?
I see their policy on binding referenda as their Achilles heel.
It’s a policy that actually undermines the *Real foundations of Just Law* which are the Objective principles of Justice such as personal sovereignty, and equality before the Law… and that just government has strictly limited authority over the lives of citizens, the impartial enforcement of legally binding contracts, and limited powers over only such matters pertaining to the defense of rights.
The terms and condition upon which Government is founded, and limits of it’s powers ought to be embodied in a constitution with an iron clad bill of rights upon which democratically elected Parliaments have no authority to encroach.
This is a million miles away from having a system of Mob rule… open ended social arbitrary Law whereby the greatest mob get their way.
Under such a system there is no protection for Individuals or minorities, and the Masses are notorious for being easily duped and manipulated by Charismatic demagogues.
I have much to say on these matters, and it would be my pleasure to open a dialogue with the New Conservatives about these vital political truths.
Now remember the moral dilemmas of the Trolley problems and the uncomfortable reality of having to make choices under circumstances less than ideal, via means that are less than ideal, and which also probably will result… no matter what decision is made in ends that are less than ideal?
My decision to vote ‘Yes’ on the Act Party’s Right to assisted death for the terminally ill referendum, and ‘Yes’ on the Green Party’s Cannabis Law reform Referendum, and also ‘yes’ for the New Conservative party this election are each individual decisions I have arrived at as being the most moral, and just choices available to voters this election.
I am being compelled to make compromises, and there is always an element of risk, yet ultimately from my best evaluations all these choices are the most consistent with my Christian Libertarian values and ideals.
Such is the human condition and predicament.
I don’t pretend my choices are not open to critisism… such is the nature of moral dilemma.
I hope this blogpost is instrumental in winning support for the New Conservatives from Liberty lovers, Free thinkers, and all who are concerned about the Free fall of our country into socialist tyranny.
I believe they will reach 5% if enough of us resolve to give them our support.
They deserve it.
Our Country desperately needs to steer a new course to get back to the freedom and Values we enjoyed not too many years ago before the likes of Ardern came to power.
She is turning our Nation into a Police State!
Facebook is free…. That’s the great lie… its a trap that has captured the whole of Western Democracy.
The only part about it that was free was signing up.
Maybe the first shot of heroin an addict ever gets is free.
Facebook is free as long as you conform to their narrow views… on everything… and surrender your data, photos, privacy, time, allow the government to propagandise on your posts, etc.
The most frightening thing about Facebook is it’s reach.
It operates as a virtual monopoly which of itself would not be a problem if it upheld fairness and impartiality, and defended freedom of expression, yet instead it functions in the complete opposite manor.
It is heavily biased, unfair and discriminatory, and thus serves to further specific partisan political ideologies curtailing open debate and critisism of the Politically correct narratives and policies of Socialist Globalism.
And this heavy bias suits socialist governments like ours here in New Zealand… infested with Leftist devotees to the New World Order… as with all the others about the globe, France, Canada, many States in the US, etc.
This heavily skewed media monstrosity has become a threat to the freedom of humanity.
As one of the internet giants run by Liberal elites Facebook has been deplatforming many of the worlds most popular and vocal critics of Leftist liberal globalism, yet these newsworthy acts of partisan censorship are merely the visible portion of the censorship iceberg, as Facebook has invested heavily in AI tech that filters every word… every photo of even the least significant activist or critic.
They employ an army of ‘Woke Community Standards’ commissars who investigate Reprobates whom have been dobbed in by the legions of leftist minions who report any commentary they find ‘offensive’ to their own tastes.
They have a check list of ‘Identity politics’, and woke agendas that they use to monitor their fellow citizens to insure they all stay in line.
All done under the guise of protecting ‘vulnerable minorities’ and fighting ‘fake news’ etc etc, yet equating to censorship of any opinions that call the validity of the many woke agendas into question.
Facebook’s dragnet captures thousands of lesser caliber yet still ardent vocal dissidents and activists who refuse to allow Leftist globalism and all their woke ideologies to go unchallenged.
This mass rounding up and suppression of the active little voices embedded in every community who have virtually no redress must surely constitute a serious violation of the principles of democratic freedom of speech.
Not to be cowered into silence, I have at all times refused to self-censor for my own sake, instead I have remained vocal on all points, yet as predicted, a month before the New Zealand General Election in which Jacinda Ardern is hoping for re-election I have been thrown in Facebook jail… effectively removing my ability to electioneer against Ardern and for the alternative parties and policies I believe are preferable.
They have ghosted my profile page and *all my commentary* of the past 10 years.
How many other vocal Kiwi Critics have also conveniently been ghosted at this critical time?
There is no way for us to know.
This is election rigging.
My sphere of influence is not great… probably less than a few dozen like-minded friends.
Some of my Facebook pages have up to 3500 followers, yet how many people really give a damn that I, Tim Wikiriwhi or a few dozen other ‘fringe’ Kiwi thinkers are gone at this critical point in the election cycle?
Not many.
Oblivious to the fact that Rome is burning, Most people dont give a toss we vigilant critics are silenced because they are *part of the great herd*.
By their math everything is fine… they dismiss our contrary views as not adding any value to the political dialogue.
Most of them *applaud this censorship* because they don’t like their complicity and complacency being called out by pesky Gad flies like myself… and there is every probability that I have been banned because some ‘hater’ took offence to one of my truth bombs and reported me to the Woke Gestapo.
Ironically many of these same Groupthinkers also like to posture themselves as defenders of ‘oppressed minorities’, all the while endorsing trampling underfoot the minority of free thinkers who call their Groupthink into question.
The one unforgivable vice is to disagree or question *their ideological perceptions about how the world works.*
So the great herd gives zero fucks about free speech or fair elections because these are the sheep who *always* vote for the continued entrenchment of the powers that be.
Heavy Regulation of the Internet is creating a hive mind.
I am sure a hockey stick equation could express this process.
We could graph the loss of individuality and freedom.
This does not bode well for reform or for the quality of life for our children.
Articles like this one … ‘NZ’s new internet laws – sensible censorship?‘ absolutely fail to highlight the *fundamental anti-free speech modus opperadi of Globalist liberalism*.
It talks about the possibility of Internet censorship legislative powers being usurped by government for their own political ends as if that was something highly unlikely instead of truly expounding the very real threat: The globalists expressed determination to utterly end Internet freedom and instead use internet domination as a means of mass indoctrination for their own political ends.
I have been thrown in Facebook jail many times, each time my sentence increasing in length, yet this Facebook lag is different.
This time I assume will be for 90 days. I may get out… maybe… yet well after the general election and period of coalition talks.
The reason I don’t know if I will ever have my page back or when is because when I was notified by facebook I could no longer use my page they did not state the term of my imprisonment, only that I could ‘appeal’ by clicking on the tab.
When I did this another window opened in which they wanted ‘ID validation’, I entered my Cell phone number and received a code to populate a box.
Next they asked me for a Photo… it was then that I realised I was being asked to voluntarily populate their AI systems with my personal Data which they could deem as being authenticated.
I realise I had just been duped into giving them my cellphone number which acts as a personal GPS Tracker. (yet another invasion of personal privacy the whole world has blindly accepted as the new normal and the price for being plugged into the Matrix)
Step by imperceptible step… then by leaps and bounds… we give way to the machine.
Buggered if I was going to voluntarily give The Beast/ Facebook a certified photo by which they (and the powers that be) can use to calibrate their facial recognition systems.. FFS all I want to do is use the internet like an ordinary (yet Free) person… not sign up to some sort of Cult whereby I surrender all my personal independence and dignity!
(So many people will willingly allow a computer chip to be implanted into their right hands or foreheads… just for the sake of convenience of not having to carry a wallet or remember PIN numbers!… this is where all this sheepish submission to the Godless machine leads!)
For Shits and Giggles I submitted a picture of Jacinda Ardern… rejected.
Then one of Winston Peters…. rejected… then one of the Joker…. rejected.
It does not take a rocket scientist to infer they already are pretty sure about what I look like and that their AI was scanning for a pic with the correct faceprint dimensions.
There is in fact no justification for such a request… except that this will become part of the ‘New Normal’ here in New Zealand… as it has become in Totalitarian China.
I believe they wanted an authorized/validated image that enhanced their system to make ‘legally admissible’/ evidential determinations about my internet activity that could be used to prosecute me in the future on any number of fronts whereby I have made criticisms of Government programs, agendas, etc… whether it be sharing posts critical of Covid 19 lockdowns, promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine or vitamins to fight the Rona, spread videos of Police brutality, condemned ongoing Racist Treaty separatism, etc.
Facial recognition software is not new… but what is disturbing about all this is when you think about how ‘China-like’ New Zealand is rapidly becoming in the wake of the Christchurch Terror attack, and Covid 19.
The Socialist Globalists never let a good crisis go to waste… in fact they have become very artful in making mountains out of molehills…. the sheeple are easily spooked.
New reports tell us the NZ Police are investing in Facial recognition tek… without any public consent process.
New Zealanders protesting against Ardern’s Covid19 lockdowns report intimidation by special Police drones filming them all… just like The Chinese Communist Party did to the Pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong before the mass arrests of dissidents.
And we should not forget Jacinda Ardern’s own ‘Christchurch call’… to fully control social media, live streaming, hate speech, etc etc etc… whereby the government has been quietly setting up systems to monitor social media and crush any opinions they dont like.
The Covid 19 Mass information strategy dovetails nicely with all of these Orwellian powers… for the sheeples own good (PUKE!)
In the recent past the Police only collected photographs and fingerprints of suspects, and criminals… Law abiding people had the right to ‘privacy in their person’… they could not be randomly stopped, searched and asked for ID’s, photographed, etc… by the police… yet slowly… step by step the sheeple allowed creeping intrusive encroachments into their private sphere… under the guise of being ‘Good citizens’… and the ruse that ‘you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide…’ yet what they did not realise is that they were giving the State the ability to create ‘Henrich Himmler type files’… on everyone… to be used by the state for whatever political purposes the Overlords desire!
That is what happens when the state is ‘allowed’ to collect data on all citizens, rather than only those who are involved in criminal activities.
I decided rather than submit a definitively athorised Photo ID into their system, I would forfeit my right of appeal as not only was there virtually no chance of my appeal being successful, I also refuse to genuflect to their Machine… and voluntarily feed and empower their evil system.
This will potentially cost me a lot… not only will I loose contact with many friends and family, but Facebook have censored my entire Social media commentary for the past 10 years… with the flick of a switch.
It is a great loss because I foolishly allowed Facebook to have such power by only publishing many of my thoughts and arguments on their site.
Threatened with such heavy personal costs for resistance, many people will surrender to the machine rather than risk such a great personal loss… and this is the trap and the power Facebook now has over a Billion souls.
This is where the powers that control the internet are taking the whole world. All the mindless sheeple of our age don’t see anything wrong with it… in fact this is ‘The new normal’… and it has been heading in this direction slowly and surely for at least the past few decades… literally everything… Job applications, shopping, banking, all are done impersonally via clicking tabs and filling out fields in a database. At the end you are allocated a number.
99% of the time this is all good. Nothing sinister.
Ordering a pizza has never been easier, yet this ‘new normal’ has a darker side… It is socially conditioning us all… from the age of 3… to blindly ‘trust’ the Machine… to Obey the Machine… to submit to the machine… and to view those who *dont like this new way of doing things* as being crack pots.
Most people have become oblivious to the fact that in the stratosphere high above the machine is controlled by powerful vested interests… the game Admins… the Puppet Masters.
This process has institutionalized… assimilated… the entire human race into the machine… The Matrix.
And this machine cannot be reasoned with… that is one of it’s essential attributes… you either comply, or find yourself alienated from cyber-society, and today that can virtually make you an outcaste in the *Real World*.
You will struggle to function, to do business, and soon even to buy and sell.
If the current trend is allowed to progress unchallenged and unabated things look pretty grim for the future, however I say we must not wallow in abject defeatism because despite the scale of what is going on I believe the solution is not so difficult to implement if we wake up and determine not to surrender.
All this Electronic slavery can be put in check by legislation that defends independence and privacy, while retaining most of the benefits that the internet provides.
Some efficiencies may have to be… ought to be… sacrificed for the sake of individual Rights, Privacy, and Liberty… not the other way around.
Our Humanity and personhood should not be sacrificed to the machine.
We are *not numbers*.
What I am saying is that our ‘Bill of rights’ has not yet been amended to protect our rights and liberty from Cyber-tyranny.
How can the basic premises of Liberty and rights be translated to set strict limits on the encroachments of Governments and Mega-Corporations via the Machine?
This is an important conversation that needs to be had… I dont pretend to be an expert on this, yet I do know that delay is allowing Governments and the Liberal Internet Giants to treat us like slaves.
There are many lessons to be learned from what is going on yet I want to mention several…. Firstly we as a nation must resist at all costs the move to a cashless society.
The importance of this is so monumental with respect to personal privacy and freedom that it cannot be overstated.
The Bible in the Book of Revelation (chapter13) famously predicted the coming Globalist Era and said compliance to this antichrist system would cost each individual their immortal soul!
We need to ensure the right to pay for goods and services via cash is upheld.
This will prevent our society from becoming fully enslaved to the machine and cause businesses to retain some level of humanity.
WE should start to express our outrage when businesses shut down ‘branches’ and stores at which customers can speak face to face with them rather than the only communications being ‘on line’.
We as a people should certainly get back in the habit of *Buying and reading printed books* and when any news article of importance is published on line we should be printing off copies and keeping them in files, because the one thing I learned from having my entire facebook presence wiped out for the crime of being critical of Socialist lefty ideology is how easily the ‘Book burners’ can wipe out any trace of dissident arguments with the flick of a switch… if the only repository of these works are online… in the Machine.
The right to use cash may require extra legislative protections, yet other things like buying books rather than reading E Books, and printing articles for safe keeping are not activities that entail legislative changes but enlightened minds that articulate the threat, and pro-actively form and promote *good habits* in the population that are conducive to maintaining freedom and that take away power from the machine.
I am not at all saying the internet does not provide humanity with awesome good things… yet I am saying it’s power for Evil is at least as equal to its power for good… and that we must snap out of our complacency and allowing the vested interests controlling this machine Carte blanche to absolutely disregard our individuality, our privacy, our rights to free speech and association, and have the ability to completely erase a persons life’s work for the simple reason that it exposes their Evil doings and ambitions.
We need to turn the tables on the Regulators and censors and curtail *their license and tyrannical bents* to trample our personal liberty and opinions underfoot!
Realise that a Constitution and Bill of Rights don’t exist to control you as an individual but exists to control Governments and other Powerful entities from enslaving us, and treating us like their cattle!
If we need to make constitutional amendments to defend individual freedom from internet tyranny… then let us formulate what these ought to be, and get them enshrined!
There is a need for urgency here.
Strong delusions are upon us.
We are literally entering the age of the Beast… The All seeing Eye…. The surveillance police State… the thought police… 1984…. Full blown Socialism… The centralisation of all power… The Kingdom of Nimrod…. 666… you will not be able to buy and sell except you have the Mark of the Beast and Worship his image.

A Friend of mine has been looking on government websites for any offical reference to Justice minister Andrew Little’s Hate speech Law proposals or Bill as he is wanting to fill a submission in defense of Free speech.
As yet there is nothing to be found.
Freedom Lovers and concerned New Zealanders have been waiting for a year now for Andrew Little to table his much touted ‘Hate Speech Bill’.
However for reasons we can only speculate on he is keeping us in the dark as to when he intends to start the parliamentary process to make his aims Law.
As minions of UN Ardern and Little have used the Christchurch atrocity to argue that New Zealands current situation on Free speech is ‘too lenient’.
He is also the one who has authorised the New Zealand Police to visit and harass Independent Social media voices for sharing opinions that are critical of his regime’s agenda.
Labeling them ‘Extremists’.
Their agenda has been clearly stated in such things as the UN Global Compact on Immigration that demands governments implement restrictions on free speech that voice opposition to their Open Boarders, Mass Migration plans, or simply express alarm at the erosion of their culture and the escalation of crime committed by lawless migrants and refugees.
As the first few months passed from his announcement that he was pursuing the introduction of hate speech legislation we assumed he was in the process of doing ‘due diligence’ in preparation of the speedy introduction of his bill, yet now as time ticks on The bill has not yet been tabled.
Why?
Little did in fact conciser using the excuse of ‘Combating false information’ in the lead up up to the forthcoming referenda on Cannabis law reform and The Right to die with dignity for the terminally ill as justification to table his Bill… yet seems to have backed away from that ruse.
Could it be that he is anticipating a huge public backlash and as such does not think it expedient to drop his bill before the general election scheduled for later this year?
Jacinda Ardern may enjoy massive Global popularity from woke folk far and wide, her popularity at home is always in flux to the degree that it is far from guaranteed she can lead her coalition into a second term in power.
They may fear that introduction of the bill before the election could be political suicide, yet after the election they could present it.
That Little was prepared to use the referenda as an excuse to pass his anti-free speech legislation should ring Alarm bells as that was a clear indicator of how they really intend to *control information* and steer the democratic process towards the desired outcome of their own agenda by controlling the Public narrative!
Little has also made it clear he considers The desire of many New Zealanders to abolish the Race based electoral system and Maori seats in parliament (institutions he personally endorses and utilises) as ‘Hateful’.
This is yet another example of how these Socialists seek to suppress legitimate views and arguments from being herd in the public square.
That is the Death of Democracy and freedom!
That is why we must oppose Little’s diabolical ambitions will every ounce of our being!
It is time for New Zealanders to stand in defense of our Freedom, Values, and way of life from systematic destruction and imposition of The Socialist Totalitarian New world Order that stands in opposition to virtually everything we hold dear!
They seek to reduce us all to slaves… this in no exaggeration.
These people despise Freedom, despise Christianity, despise Free enterprise and self reliance.
They want everyone to be dependent and beholden to their All powerful Socialist State which will be Vassal to the UN.
There is another more probable reason for Little’s delay…
I suspect They are waiting for some ‘Opportunity’ to present itself… some sort of ‘Stupid yet nasty’ hate crime to occur… preferably by a ‘White supremacist’ … something the media can make a National carnival out of it for a few weeks… so that he can pounce on the Public ‘outrage’ and rely on his legislation getting full support from MPs who all want to jump on the Pious bandwagon against ‘Hate crimes’…. that’s how they do business.
Such an opportunity could happen at any time.
We saw Ardern spring into action to pass Heavy Gun prohibitions in the wake of the Christchurch attack.
Her confiscations have not made our Nation more safe but less so.
She has in fact unleashed a police state upon us!
Ardern cloaked her Brazen opportunism of the Public hysteria generated by this horrendous crime committed by a foreign terrorist under a Hadjib… and hugs.
And again with the Covid-19 pseudo-pandemic she demonstrated the Socialist maxim “Never let a good emergency go to waste”
That is how you get Draconian Laws passed in our parliament.
While we await these Machiavellians to make their move We should be getting our public submissions ready as no doubt they will give us minimum opportunity to respond.
So much for ‘the most transparent regime ever!
Rushing trough Evil Legislation that tramples over our rights has also become their Modus opperandi.
I did written submissions on the last two firearms confiscation bills, and an Oral sub on the last tranche yet this Public Submission process is little more than a token charade… like a public haka… the Committee simply ignores everything they hear and recommends Parliament to proceed. Its a total scam.
It would be interesting to trace back trough all the bills of the last 20 years and get the stats on how many Committees hearing public submission actually recommended the bills be dropped, and have sited Reasons given by Public submission as being valid concerns.
I would bet $5.00 that there has not been a single instance that Public submissions have affected such an outcome.
Still our Submissions become a matter of public record and so may become useful Ammunition if every some principled MP tries to abolish any of these vile Legislative Acts.
They will have a mountain of Pubic Submissions to help them undermine and overthrow these Evil dictates.
Hopefully we can make Ardern, Peters, and Little pay at election time… Unfortunately for us National has been in cahoots with Ardern and co so in reality they are no better.

We need to absolutely Crush and Politician who seeks to impose the UN Globalist agenda upon us at the ex pence of our Independence and rights!
Maybe we should not even wait for little to table his bill before we start sending our submission directly to MPs, Party Hqs, and the Media.

I could list countless examples… yet it suffices to simply say that the struggle to attain the Liberty for the average person to publicly articulate our own views that we hold by right today in New Zealand… to which also we have become so accustom that is seems an ordinary and mundane thing …the right to criticise and question the powers that be… or to challenge the veracity of popularly held opinions is of itself a priceless high water mark of progress and Civilisation.
Its a hard won Taonga bequeathed to us by our heroic and enlightened Protestant Christian Pioneering Roots… an Ideal of the highest order hard won over centuries of struggle by the greatest human beings who have ever graced this Earth!
Free Speech is a vital and powerful sword available to all citizens they may wheedled in the Defense of their Rights and liberties from the establishment of new oppressive Laws and powers… and that is the reason why Dangerous Political operators seek to take away this defensive weapon from those they seek to subjugate.
Free Speech is a lighted Lamp to be held high to dispel the darkness of Barbarous, Backward, and unjust traditions and ideas that have yet to be vanquished, and it is for this reason that Freethinkers with New, progressive, and Better Ideas have always been in danger of being lynched by the mob who don’t take kindly to having their ingrained delusions exposed to the light.
So My friends…. Jealously defend this precious right!
*Always* be vigilant, and fearful, and view with suspicion *any Political party* or vested interest that seeks to pass laws that restrict Free speech!

Hate speech legislation is effectively passing laws that use Ad Hominem Character assignation as justification for silencing dissent.

Its like an enchantment that leads the gullible to their Doom… and as long as the significant portion of the population is under the spell… there is very little the rest of us can do about it.
She is able to get away with the most Brazen acts of Tyranny… and display a complete disregard for the principles and safeguards of a free society… because of the Naive and bedazzled foolishness of the Dumbfounded dipshits who stand in Awe.

It is essential that freedom lovers dont allow facebook and Youtube to hold a monopoly on your personal internet presence, but to have a second line of defence… Have a Mewe social media account.

A month ago we suffered a barrage of Mainstream media Fake news about an approaching Plague that was expected to devastate the world, and we all trembled in fear as the media spread all the false information, and so we prepared for the worst.
Still rather than immediately throwing our toys out of the cot chose instead to voluntarily comply with the new laws Ardern began to issue despite personally considering them unjust for the sake of solidarity and the fight against the coming menace.
At first it appeared she was going to take a bold minimalist approach for which I actually commended her, but then she jumped in Boots and all with a full blown Police State Lock down.
In the next few weeks into Lockdown with an increase in data, as we watched the statistics, it very soon became apparent Covid-19 was no where near as dangerous as we had been led to believe and that we had in fact been deceived.
Voices began to reveal how the original data we had been fed from Italy etc was seriously compromised with dubious processes and Copious quantities of Media sensationalism.

He says false statistics are being use to terrorize the citizens of Italy and establish a dictatorship.
I fully admit I myself watched such skewed new reports with Alarm and mobilised myself into action to prepare for the worst.
Still, at no time did I advocate or endorse any actions taken by Ardern that were a violation of Individual citizens rights.
I was involved in many discussion with others that identified and commented on her many violations, yet still I was willing to voluntarily comply with common sense practices like social distancing… yet this is in no way an endorsement of compulsion or tyrannical law and we reserved the right to protest at such a time as we could. First priorities being taking care of our families as the Pandemic landed on our shores.
Even at this early stage some of my smarter friends were already questioning this narrative and suggesting the economic consequences of what was being proposed was certainly something to be alarmed about.
The primary factor that scared the shit out of me about the Covid-19 threat was that it originated in Wuhan … where China’s Bio-warfare lab is located.
The Problem is that there was no way to take China’s claim that the virus was of natural origin as gospel because their Tyrannical regime cannot be trusted.
They were in fact implementing a pogrom to cover up the facts…. Whistle blowers were ‘disappearing’.
The Chinese Regime is EVIL!
Over a period of weeks last month… before our lockdown… News reports were describing an escalating crisis in Italy of nearly 1000 deaths per day, and we also saw Social media flooded with pics of supermarket shelves being emptied… whole Cities were being quarantined,
Convoys of Trucks were sanitisng the Streets in China and reports of a full scale National emergency about to be announced and Lock down… for months…. It sure looked to me like China had accidentally leaked a Bio=weapons grade WMD… and that I had better prepare for the worst.
Despite claims that the virus came from the ‘wet market’ 25km away from the highest security Virus Laboratory in Asia, I could not bring myself to have any confidence in that as being a fact.
I am fully aware that Natural pandemics (such as the Spanish flu) can be absolutely Ravenous, yet I still believe that I would have been far less alarmed had the virus started in any other city than Wuhan.
I could not shake the fear that Covid-19 was a genetically modified… Potentised… weapon.
Empirical facts that eventuated show us our fears were unfounded, yet a healthy skepticism still questions the offical narrative about the origin and nature of Covid-19 as simply from Bats at a ‘Wet Market’.
The Wet market provides a very convenient cover story… though it is statistically improbable that the Market is the true origin rather than the lab.
If you wanted to artificially create panic, having a Pandemic break out from the same neighborhood as a Viral Bio-weapons Lab will surely do the trick!
If you wanted to generate a global panic to allow the introduction of Compulsory Vaccination… this would be how you would do it.
Irrespective of whether or not your mind is as suspicious as mine, it remains clear that Western Governments like New Zealand (further fueling Pubic hysteria) Usurped oppressive Emergency powers and implemented lock downs from a complete lack of solid information about the virus (ignorance), and the perceived potential Plague level Carnage it was about to unleash (based upon seriously Skewed Bad Data).
The True facts became clearer several weeks later.
Covid-19 is in reality no more dangerous then the common Flu.
The world had been fed false Data generating Panic, and as such the lockdowns were a massive and costly mistake.
A massive economic and social catastrophe is now unfolding as a direct result of Stupendous and gratuitous government over-reaction!
We should have been come out of lockdown at least 2 weeks ago.
There was truckloads of Data and expert opinion by then that made this clear and Ardern’s failure to admit her mistake and immediately end the lockdown is a true testimony to her absolute lack of Good Leadership qualities.
Three facts of reality about Lockdown are.
1. It is an economic disaster,
2. The Lock down involves Tyrannical laws that violate our rights and Liberties and empower a Police State…. people getting arrested for Non-crimes.
3. It is ultimately a futile gesture because unless a nation stays perpetually in lockdown with closed boarders the Virus will ride back into the country via the boarder.
The only solution is to gain herd immunity… ie weather the storm in freedom as we do with the Flu and bear the cost… as we do with the Flu.
This does not mean *there are no actions* we can take to shield the most vulnerable… like Isolating Old folks homes, etc when these sorts of things appear, and plenty of other wise moves …. all that help… none that require making Ardern Absolute Ruler… the one painful lesson we must take away from all this is that the government must be prevented from usurping unjust powers and sabotaging our economy, and making criminals out of innocent people who refuse to surrender their rights!
We must protect free speech at all costs so that we maintain the right to critisise the Government and the established vested interests of the medical cartel and defend the ability of Free thinkers and Renegade medical professionals to talk to the public so that we still get to hear their views.
Only that way can we make smart decisions about our own health and well being… having access to *all* the information and arguments… not just the arguments *The State* wants you to believe.
That is how a free country with free people functions… taking personal responsibility for your own lives.
The opposite is a Police State… and tyranny… the sort of people who prefer that are the scared sheep who dont want to carry the responsibility of thinking for themselves and instead *want to be told what they must do*… by an all powerful Nanny State.
These are also the ‘Collaborators’ with the all powerful State who *hate seeing other people not living in fear like they are… and choosing instead of submission to exercise their legitimate rights… and in this situation it would have been businesses that would have stayed open, etc.
And the thing is that when you have a free society that keeps the government in check and keeps people responsible for their own health and well being, *those who want to practice extreme isolation* may do so… they simply cant force everyone else to do the same… yet they can still *persuade* others… and that is how a free society works… by reason… by persuasion… not but draconian laws…. not by compulsion…. not by silencing voices of dissent.
Ardern has not saved us… she has dealt us a horrific blow and has Fooled the gullible into worshiping her heavy hand.
She must go!
Ardern did not create this dysfunctional situation of Coercion, tt was purpose built for her from successions of Power Mad Demagogues (like Helen Clark) which the gullible sheeple have installed over themselves.
Ardern inherited it and is now exploiting it to the maximum for her own political ambitions.
Like all other Western nations New Zealanders have long forgotten what the bounds and legitimate duties of government are.
What is the most tragic is that in reality what Ardern did was not novel in kind … not revolutionary … but simply more of the usual Mutton fisted socialism ….in Spades.. and a huge portion of New Zealanders worship her for it!
That is the real tragedy!
The sheepish, spineless, slavish mentality of such a large portion of the population.
The question now is are we going to allow the Delusions of Arderns ‘Statesmanship’ go unchallenged or are we going to work tirelessly for the truth and for the restoration of our rights and liberties?
Will we work to get safeguards against Hate speech legislation?
Will we work to get safeguards against compulsory testing and vaccinations, against the all seeing eye of Tracking via Peter Thiel Spy technology?
Will we work to ensure no Prime minister or parliament has the authority to enact a Police State or ever contemplate deploying the army against the free citizens of New Zealand?
This can be done by the will of the people enacting a New Iron clad constitution that will for the first time since New Zealand became an independent nation instill *The True Rule of Law above the social arbitrary power of Parliament* .
This is something I have spent the last 20 plus years fighting for, and as recent events have shown, The need is even more urgent now than it was when I started my Libertarian Political activism.

The Legislative powers of Parliament must be kept subordinate to a ‘Higher Law’… A Supreme Bill of Rights that protects our Rights and liberties as individuals… inviolate!
In short we need to establish the true Rule of Law… principles of Justice…. over and above Social arbitrary law and the Whims of a Parliament of Fools.

The Covid-19 hysteria and tyranny is a perfect example of why Free speech is so vital and also why Liberty in medical matter is also essential now that we are hearing calls for the state to pass legislation for compulsory vaccinations.

Yet People like Ardern who want compulsory Vaccinations seek to downplay the risk and silence those who are morally inclined to raise the alarm and highlight the risks.
The concerns of these pesky ‘anti-Vaxxers’ that lobby against compulsory Vaccinations are dismissed as being fallacious, and they are castigated as being ‘anti-science’ … the equivalent of ‘Flat Earthers’.
Parents need to know that there *is a risk* of serious reactions to vaccinations… not lied to about this… and esp not having their parental rights taken away by the state making it compulsory.
One of my wife’s cousins had a catastrophic reaction to the Rubella shot and was crippled… and died young .
It has been proven that these adverse reactions can be a hereditary disposition thus Families are going to be far more aware of such propensities within their own kin than politicians who dont give a crap about such things and only care about their own tyrannical dictates… that they think are for the public good.
And most importantly via the right to free speech it is the right of those who believe vaccinations are dangerous to publicly make their case… and it is evil for the government to censor them.”

I am going to release this post in a series that will eventually be parts of a whole.
I am doing this so that I can publish it to ‘Eternal vigilance’ as early as possible, and in chunks that are not ‘War and Peace’.

These are interesting times.
This will be the most significant Blog post I have written for years.
It will encapsulate virtually all my most important values and warnings and declarations I have made over the past 20 years.
I will try and stitch together as many essential elements as possible without writing a book… yet a Book… many Books… will need to be written to explore the events that are unfolding around us… that threaten our very lives…and way of life.
A friend of mine took puerile glee on social media the other day … displaying contempt for our Panic… by asserting that the Covid-19 is… quote: ‘not an existential crisis’ for mankind *as a species* … because despite the death toll… human life will go on… yet such a shallow indifference to the fact that many thousands are dying… must also be called out for its callous indifference to the very real *existential crisis that is afoot for Human liberty and clear boundaries against Totalitarianism*.
Now I love my unnamed friend… and i know it’s poor taste and rough usage on my part to proceed to frame everything I am about to say upon his off hand remark, in truth the following is absolutely not about that… It is simply a matter that I can utilise his comment to exemplify *what is really at stake*… above the mere fact that life will go on for most.
He is correct in that… and I guess for many, that is all they care about… It does not even matter to them that things will never be the same.
To be fair I know my friend is as concerned about the leap Western Nations are making in the face of Covid-19 as I am… maybe even more so.
His remark was a protest that tyranny cannot be justified upon the false premise that Covidid-19 constitutes an existential threat to Humanity as a species.
This being so… what justification if any exists for the Usurpation of extraordinary powers by Governments, and the heavy curtailment of individual rights and liberties?
PM Jacinda Ardern was acting very casually when she introduced to the nation the 4 tier Government emergency response plan she would be implementing.
at the time of announcement the question of whether or not she actually has the legal authority to carry out this scheme was never put to her by the news media who are supposed to ask the tuff questions of our leadership… on behalf of We… the people.
And so she was allowed to do what ever she liked based upon the mere unquestioned assumption she had the authority to do so.
Was it a devious ruse on her part to set the country at alert level two, and to keep the schools open for the sake of keeping the people in a false state of calm for a critical few days when she was all along rushing to get ready to jump straight up to level 4 and shut the roads… trapping us in… so that we had no opportunity to relocate ourselves in more congenial spots to hibernate?
When we read of reports from places like Italy where before roadblocks were imposed or flight restriction, people left the main centers and traveled to other towns… that their governments considered this behavior detrimental to their ideas of containment…. I suspect Ardern *did* intentionally lull us into a false sense that things were better than they actually were.
Think about that, and what that says about the way she operates.
What ethics… if any… underpin her actions?
I put nothing past her… she displays all the characteristics of a person who thinks her ambitions justify any means necessary… including deception of the New Zealand public.
Remember how she ran for office on the promise of running the most open and transparent Government ever?
Yet time has proven the opposite is true… she has time and time again refused to answer questions put to her.
She springs edicts upon us without public discussion or debate.
I was offered a place to escape to out of Hamilton City yet because of Arderns sudden implementation of Alert level 4 it became too risky to be stopped on the roads by Police who might treat people looking to escape the cities as criminals.
There are other reasons why my family chose to weather the storm in Hamilton.
As a Maintenance Engineer at one of New Zealand’s ‘essential food industries’ I have continued to work while my family are in Isolation.
The Company has implemented many changes to make our working environment safer.
Sanitiser everywhere, no meetings in confined spaces, less people per Smoko room breaks, maintaining social distance of 2 meters, anyone who can work from home is doing so, etc.
There is still opportunity for Smokoroom banter and discussion about whats in the news… albeit at greater distances… and a continuous theme among my peers is an incessant exclamation that the government should be implementing Far heavier … Martial Law type actions.. than it already is upon those whom are perceived to be ‘non-compliant’ to self isolation.
The primary underlying thinking of these people is firstly Fear, and secondly they are exposing their fundamental belief that Tyrannical government is a Collective good that trumps individual rights.
These fools should be careful what they wish for!
In a National environment full of such thinking, Heavy handed’Jacinda Ardern’ type politicians are in their element, and she will be most willing to oblige them in their desires to be rendered Rightless slaves beneath her all powerful rule!
She is after all… a Socialist.
I am surrounded by ‘nice people’ who in fact endorse totalitarianism and are happy to surrender their rights in a heartbeat!
I am sure any legal authority to do so is being quietly, yet hastily drafted as we speak.
No media seem to be interested in asking such questions about what extra powers our government is planning to usurp… to rush through parliament… under urgency… with no public consultation.
Where did I get that impression?
Oh that’s right… that’s precisely what happened just last year… precisely how Comrade Number 1 Ardern and *all our elected representatives behaved *bar 1* in the wake of the Christchurch Terrorist attack when they flouted due legal process to rush the prohibition of semiautomatics and high capacity magazines into law!
All it took was for Ardern to declare Gun ownership in New Zealand is not a right, but a privilege!
This arbitrary assertion set up the notion that the State was not acting tyrannically in confiscating the Guns from Law abiding citizens who had done no wrong.
And it was basically swallowed hook, line, and sinker by virtually every member of parliament and almost every journalist in the country.
Virtually No time was allocated for Public consultations or submission of protest, and those few token submissions that were herd fell on deaf ears.
The Government simply gave themselves the legal powers they wanted.
Kinda like Hiter’s ‘Enabling Act’.
That’s the sort of government we have running this country!
Things are quite calm at present… 400 odd cases Nationally last time i checked.
Everyone has plenty of supplies… for a month or two.
No one has even died of the virus in New Zealand… The Morale of the nation is fearful… yet still high, yet this calm will not last long.
Panic will replace calm as hospitals become overwhelmed, and the virus starts to claim lives.
The Reaper will thrust in his sickle.
Family and friends will die.
Martial law is probably just around the corner… as the supermarkets begin to run out of supplies… and the people realise that they dont have enough stores in the cupboards.
All the compulsion that is being implemented and that will be ramped up is being almost universally touted as the only possible means of tackling this Pandemic.
Its taken as a given
It’s considered unquestionable.
Any suggestion that the governments and populations of the world could possibly have worked collectively together to fight this pandemic without Tyranny has not even been openly discussed.
Many consider anyone questioning why people should be compelled to obey all the restrictions as being dangerous to the common good… as being criminally negligent.
And because this is the path that most nations are taking, It may appear moot to even ponder whether or not things could have been done better… differently
When Chaos ensues and martial law imposed it will be even more difficult.
*yet to my mind if martial law is imposed it will signal the utter failure of Ardern’s heavy handed policies*… not justify them.
After the crisis has past… and the scale of devastation reconsidered, it is very probable many people will wake up to the fact that our Nations surrendered our precious rights too easily… and that the promised security that such Heavy handed Government imposed did very little to hinder the inevitable out come… over and above what could have been achieved by a purely voluntary approach that respected rights and liberties.
It is very possible that the governments whole strategy will be judged to be an abject failure.
That what in fact happened was we ended up with a Rash ‘Enemy like’ State working against the people … not for the people as was supposed.
Yet having gained broad ranging powers that circumvent any lawful obligation to follow important due processes that were created to keep Government just and in check… they will be very reluctant to surrender these powers.
Such powers that allow the police to enter houses without warrants, power to detain people on mere suspicion, the power to compel vaccinations, the power to arrest critics of Government edicts when ‘national emergencies have been declared’. etc.
They will be especially ardent in their desire to retain these powers even after the present crisis is passed because if they are allowed to do so it will mean they can use them to more easily impose the entire political UN Globalist agenda than otherwise would be the case if they were compelled to follow time-honored due process that exist to protect the people from Power grabs.
Many Independent thinkers perceive the current crisis as a practice run for the overthrow of Western civilization consisting of Free and independent sovereign nations by the UN Globalists embedded in almost every government on earth.
Will the ultimate result of the Ardern Doctrine prove to having been a disaster in the long run?
I suspect so.
My next part to this issue I will discuss more about how this crisis could have been handled much better… and far more justly.
I want to post this portion, yet for now let it be known that just because I strongly disagree with the usurpation of power Ardern and other world leaders have assumed in this crisis, that this means I wont voluntarily comply with all those edits that are in fact based upon common sense and sound reason.
The whole trust of my counter-argument rests upon the idea that Peoples ability to reason, and to grasp what is in their own best interests,and the interests of the country as a whole… and that when political leaders display high character and integrity… that by far that majority of people will willingly comply *to a national strategy that does not require State Jackboots.*
So let me make this very clear.
I am all for self isolation.
I am all for social distancing.
I am all for the washing of hands.
I am all for staying out of Public spaces as much as possible.
I am all for collective effort to flatten the curve!
Totalitarianism does not have a monopoly on these obvious actions, nor the means to impose them by force!
It is voluntary compliance that will be the deciding factor.
Ardern could have in fact still introduced the four tier alert system, and have called the nation to act collectively on a totally voluntary basis.
The meme above insinuates that *Even anarchists* become supporters of tyranny in such times as these, yet this is simply false.
This does not mean they endorse the States heavy hand.
It means they are asking people to voluntarily comply *to common sense actions*… and act in a collectively responsible manor… it is quite secondary that many of these wise ideas are *also government policy*.
The Idea that Anarchists *must* rebel against *all government policies and laws* just goes to show that people dont understand Anarchism or Libertarianism*… because both will *voluntarily* comply with Laws that are in accordance with their own values and Ideals… while maintaining the right to condemn Government coercion in such matters.
None of these essential basic habits require compulsion!
So why allow Ardern to strip us of our rights?
The need to do so is pure illusion.
I will sign off here with one final ‘shout out’ and that is to all the Good citizens still leaving their families, and the security of their own homes to go to work in the midst of this pandemic for that sake of keeping their communities supplied with the necessities of life!
It is truly Noble.
Their personal risk means our whole society will be able to maintain our isolation much longer… which is the best hope of defeating the spread of this killer disease, and will save lives by taking pressure off our hospitals.
I salute every Nurse and Doctor, and Orderly, Evert Trucky, every Supermarket check out person, Every factory worker and farmer, etc young, old … Boy or Girl… or other who continue to provide for us, mostly without any extra reward.
While some degenerates will use times of crisis to create chaos, these Good citizens are showing us that Tuff times are also when the best of humanity shines brightest.
Tonight Sunday 29-3-20 at 7pm the call has gone out for the Citizens of New Zealand to go out onto their front doorsteps, or to open a window… and put your hands together and give these essential workers a clap!
This is a token of our appreciation for what they are doing in such a dangerous time… the personal risks they are taking for our countries sake!
I also ask for every person of faith to say a prayer for their personal safety… esp the ones that you personally know.
And remember everyone… should you contract the virus or not…. remember that the throne of God’s love and grace is still open to you.

“Police Commissioner Mike Bush explains what will happen to anyone not abiding the new laws.
The Defence Force is ready to respond with aircraft, vehicles and personnel if the public doesn’t comply with isolation rules during lockdown.
Commander Joint Forces NZ Rear Admiral Jim Gilmour said they have military planners and people with specialist skills working with the Government to assist in the response.
“We have a range of capabilities should these be required to assist in the response to Covid-19, including transport aircraft and vehicles, and skilled personnel who can assist other government agencies if needed,” he said.
“We have initiated Operation Protect to focus and organise our contributions to the all-of-government effort to respond to, and manage the effects of Covid-19.”

Not only is it Obscene in length, containing last weeks news that has been thoroughly covered by other writers when it was actually current … The whole theme I was trying to lay out simply didnt work!
There has been too much crap going on!
Yet because I have spent 3 days writing this sod of a thing, I am too peeved to just Euthanize it … letting it die quietly… with dignity…

As the calendar clicked over into 2020 I was wallowing under a cloud at how oppressive Ardern’s regime and her henchmen The New Zealand Police has been behaving with regards to the Police raid on Right Minds Social media Commentator and critic of the Ardern Globalist doctrine and Concerned Citizen who made a Submission in opposition to the Firearms Amendment Act… Conservative Thinker Dieuwe de Boer.
The Police had evidently used his submission to the bill as ‘pretext’ to invade and ransack his home and traumatise his family… finding nothing…. yet leaving him (and the Independent NZ Blogging community) a clear message from the regime… of the consequences contrary opinions to the State Agenda could expect to be treated if they dare express them in the public domain.
This shocking act of Political Gansterism was just the latest in a series of such raids on independent Kiwi social media commentators … a clear systematic pattern now evident to all who are awake… one which the so-called mainstream media have done their part to condition the sheeple to endorse as a legitimate suppression of ‘Far Right extremism’.
I had predicted this Jackbooted activity would commence (here) given the Gun confiscation amnesty had been such an utter failure… the Police eager to ‘Punish’ those who had in any way attempted to protest against their new tyrannies…. and because the raid on de Boer’s family home was well covered by several Bloggers there was little I could have added to the discussion, and so I chose to share these commentaries rather than write another one myself.

And If that was not enough to depress the Concern citizens of New Zealand… the media kept pumping out the bad news that the State Juggernaut was steam rolling forward with ‘more ‘Hate speech legislation’… and more betrayal of the ‘Full and Final Treaty settlement process’ (re: Arderns utter disregard for the Law with respect to Inhumatao).
Anti-freedom Social engineers are constantly baying for more heavy handed socialism.
Academics and the Media have been promoting sugar taxes… and Taxes on Meat and dairy… Hospitals are changing their menus, not to improve Patients health but for the so-called Politically correct rationale of making their operations ‘more environmentally sustainable’.
I was feeling the weight of the relentless Millitarisation of the New Zealand police as being the new and accepted ‘Post Christchurch ‘Norm’ … having been sold to the public via the same lies that were used to justify the concurrent disarmament of Law abiding New Zealanders… that the Christchurch attack ‘had forever changed the rules of the game’… and that We New Zealanders must accept a heavy curtailment of our rights across the board… because we are being told our rights and liberties were ‘dangerous’… and therefore the Police needed far more Powers.
Today if the police pay you a visit they will always be armed… and they will treat you as if you are dangerous irrespective of the reason they have come to see you about.

These thoughts and others have been weighing heavy on my soul and because of a sense of utter helplessness to prevent the advance of Leviathan I have been suffering despair for the future… despair for my Children and Grand children… will they grow strong enough in Fortitude and wisdom… in Faith, and Truth to be able to walk the path that the Children of God must walk… and endure the Powerful delusions that will be propagated against the truth?
I am fearful that they will not be strong enough to resist and to endure… for I know what a monumental trial lies ahead for Christians and Libertarians.
And yet in the past few weeks several monumental things have happened that have reminded me of the importance of maintaining a positive faith.
When things look dark it is easy to get tunnel vision and to focus on the gloom… yet I am happy to say that I have today good reason to think that The Powers of Light are not yet defeated, and that Though things are dire… that still resistance is on several fronts causing the minions of Satan to retreat… and the first of those was January 31… BREXIT!

Britain is about to restore their place in the world as advocates for free Trade which PM Brian Johnson rightly accredits as the greatest means by which to raise humanity out of poverty and of creating bonds of mutual benefit between nations thereby greatly reducing the likelihood of Armed conflict.

Like British Brexit is patently a resurgence of Nationalism and independence… so too was the election of Trump a resurgence of American Nationalism…. away from the socialist New world order.
As Farage pointed out “Populism is becoming very Popular”, and Both Bexit and The election of Trump are symptoms of a Populist backlash against Woke Liberal Globalist bullshit that is attempting to destroy western values and ideals and impose a Global socialist dictatorship.
And as such the Rabid Woke democrats have sold their souls to Belzeebub …. and possessed with the deepest malice have incessantly labored to fabricate outright despicable lies to try and impeach Trump in the hope to damage his chances of Re election.
Their Fraudulent Congressional process of impeachment was an absolute partisan travesty by any legal standard, yet their Evil plans were once again thwarted by the US Senate which the Machiavellian Democrats did not control.
So My spirit has been buoyed by these huge events.
Now 2020 is not only a pivotal year for the US in that its Election year for them… it is also Election year for us too in New Zealand… an opportunity to Boot out The worst government we have suffered this millennia … the Ardern Regime, The problem is there is little to be gained given how utterly hopeless the main opposition party is!
This is of itself a very depressing fact, and yet the National party Leader Simon Bridges has made Several announcements that do in fact constitute some important improvements on what Ardern and Labour are peddling.
In particular he has said he wants the farcical Treaty settlement process to be fully wound up by 2024, He says that the waitangi tribunal should eventually go, and also wants to see an end to the Apartheid electoral system and race based seats in parliament!
Both these things are of the highest importance to me and so while ‘Regeim change’ will not exactly be reason for dancing in the street as would be the case if New Zealand elected a Libertarian party into office, none the less there are at least some reasons to be more positive than the current misery.
Given that Arderns recent meddling, having ignored the *Legal* status of Treaty grievances at Ihumatau as being full and finally settled , is threatening to completely put our nation back to square one
If Ardern is defeated so too will her Evil Collaborator be booted out!
Bridges early declaration that He will not consider any coalition deal with the current deputy Prime minister and Leader of the New Zealand First Party Winston Peters was music to my ears!
And watching Peters behave this a child kicking a tantrum has also been delicious!

So I am doing my best to shrug off my recent depression and put on a more positive outlook…in spite of the Coronavirus outbreak!

Sadly there is very little to distinguish the National party from Labour esp when it comes to matters of Draconian militarization of the Police and intrusive surveillance.
Under National New Zealand’s slide towards a cashless society will not skip a beat.
What Simon Bridges has said about ending New Zealand’s Apartheid system is Great stuff…. yet will he actually deliver on it?
It was talk like this from Don Brash that put the fear of God into the Establishment Maori at the thought of losing all their Political privileges and Billions of annual tax loot that has them furiously working to entrench the Treaty and make it harder for this apartheid system to be abolished….

That last piece of advice was given me by a friend… (what the hell the Iodine is good for against viruses I do not know… a disinfectant?)

This is a perfect example of how Forward thinkers are treated like fools by the Backward and entrenched status quo… and how innovators meet with hostility from the establishment.
It also shows why People should not simply leave their own health concerns or those of their friends and loved ones in the hands of ‘the Experts’… or trust that they are telling you the whole truth!
It is also informative that this sort of behavior is especially prevalent in the fields of science exposing the fallacious yet carefully crafted myth that the scientific fraternity is peopled with enlightened and objective thinkers who are especially open to progressive ideas… the opposite is true… science is infested with narrow minded and Dogmatically opinionated drones… who are more likely to resist progress than speed it.

Now, think: Would his colleagues cheer his stroke of ingenuity by spreading the news — and practice — of the treatment to relieve suffering?
No. Inexplicably, they rejected him, ridiculed him, heaved accusations that threatened his license to practice medicine.”
“John Epley’s stooped shoulders and gentle eyes gave him a turtlish look. He wore a thickly knotted necktie and wrinkled sport coat. No amount of combing could tame the stubborn cowlick in his short hair.
His audience of ear surgeons muttered skeptically and shook their heads. Few at the October 1980 meeting in Anaheim, Calif., believed Epley’s claim to have developed a cure for the most common cause of chronic vertigo.
In any given year, tens of thousands of people seek treatment for the disorder’s strange, crippling attacks. Provoked by a casual tilt or turn of the head, the victim’s surroundings whirl. The eyeballs twitch involuntarily. Nausea overwhelms the senses. On-and-off bouts may torment a sufferer for years.
Physicians were baffled. The best they could offer as treatment was a drastic last resort: surgically destroying nerves to the inner ear, impairing patients’ balance and possibly their hearing.
Epley proposed an elegant alternative.
His talk concluded with a demonstration, a young woman acting as his patient. Epley and his research collaborator, audiologist Dominic Hughes, began by tilting the woman flat on her back, her head hanging over the end of an exam bench. Hughes cradled her head in his hands and rotated it about 45 degrees to his right, then he and Epley rolled the woman’s head and shoulders back to the left in a counterclockwise move that ended with her face down. In a final move, Hughes and Epley lifted the woman to a sitting position.
And that was it.
By then, audience members were walking out. One doctor stomped up to Epley and slapped down a comment card before exiting. He’d scrawled, “I resent having to waste my time listening to some guy’s pet theory.”

To maintain balance, the brain coordinates messages from the eyes, from muscles pulling against gravity and from motion sensors inside the inner ear’s maze of fluid-filled canals.
Another researcher had reported finding chalklike particles in the inner ears of vertigo patients and proposed that these particles clumped onto ears’ motion sensors to trigger false sensations of motion. But the hypothesis failed to explain the on-again-off-again nature of positional vertigo: If particles stuck on sensors, why did dizziness ever go away?
Epley and Hughes reasoned that the particles must float freely. Head movements might shift them, causing a siege of dizziness until the particles settled or shifted. It might be possible, they figured, to move the particles where they wouldn’t cause mischief. Since the particles are denser than inner-ear fluid and sink, gravity could do the work.
Hughes used plastic tubing to build a model of the inner ear. To simulate loose particles, he put BBs in the coiled tubes. He and Epley flipped and turned the hand-size model as they might a kid’s puzzle, to work out a sequence of moves to reposition the tiny metal balls.They began testing the moves on people straightaway, tilting and rolling them on an exam bench. Odd as the treatment sounded, frustrated patients were keen to try it.
The first two or three subjects seemed to gain immediate relief. At first, Epley wasn’t too impressed. The condition often clears up by itself, he recalls reminding himself. He didn’t know whether he had made any difference.
But when the treatment cured several more patients, including one who had endured dizziness for a decade, he and Hughes realized they’d hit upon a great discovery.
Hard sell
In Portland, some of Epley’s colleagues were so skeptical that they began to question his medical skills. Some doctors stopped referring patients.”
“In front of hostile crowds, he kept presenting his findings. Ken Aebi, a medical supply salesman in Portland who’d become Epley’s friend, felt helplessly embarrassed for him. Epley struggled at the lectern, reading too much from notes and occasionally wandering off on tangents. Some doctors rolled their eyes. Others laughed openly.”
Desperate patient
At an emergency room in 1995, a doctor couldn’t figure out the cause of a sudden attack of vertigo that struck Joseph Delahunt.
He had crawled from the living room of his North Portland house out to his car so that his wife could drive him to the hospital. Delahunt hung his head out the window and vomited most of the way. An Air Force veteran in his mid-50s, he was healthy and active — selling real estate and practicing yoga — until the attacks started.
Delahunt consulted his family doctor, then tried a neurologist and an ear, nose and throat doctor. They prescribed motion-sickness drugs and other medicines that didn’t help much. One told him he’d have to learn to live with the “benign” condition. None mentioned Epley’s treatment. His wife discovered it on the Internet.
Delahunt’s condition worsened. To avoid unbearable, spinning nausea, he sat as still as he could in a reclining chair. For nearly three months, he left the recliner only to go the bathroom.
At Epley’s office, an assistant helped Delahunt down a long hallway to a gray-walled room with closed blinds. An ungainly apparatus filled much of the room. Inside a giant steel ring hung a padded chair that reminded Delahunt of an ejection seat. Motors, gears and drive-chains were rigged to flip and twirl the chair like a carnival ride.
Delahunt stepped up to a platform and into the chair. An assistant clipped straps across his chest and ankles. She covered his eyes with a bulky mask. It contained a video camera to track his eyes. She clipped a vibrator behind his ear. It buzzed gently, more lightly than a cell phone on vibrate.
“Are you comfortable?” the assistant asked. Delahunt nodded, grateful for the Valium he’d taken.Epley fingered a joystick controller to tilt the chair back until Delahunt was face up. A flick of the joystick rotated Delahunt like a barbecue skewer. On a black-and-white computer display, Epley monitored his patient’s eyes for a characteristic twitching movement triggered by positional vertigo. He repeated the series of calibrated tilts and whirls. Then he swung the chair upright and face-forward.
No waves of vertigo struck when Delahunt moved his head. The nausea had cleared. He stopped taking the medications other doctors prescribed and resumed his life.
Threat to livelihood
In Portland, many doctors still dismissed Epley as a crank.
The conflict flared into a crisis in 1996. The Oregon Board of Medical Examiners notified Epley that he was under investigation for alleged unprofessional conduct.
His medical license and livelihood were on the line.”
“Epley’s accusers, two Portland physicians, testified that Epley was administering the nerve-deadening drugs recklessly, based on inadequate diagnostic testing.
Epley’s main defender, a Harvard-affiliated specialist from Boston, described Epley as “a forward thinker who has been right virtually every time he stuck his neck out.”
Litzenberger left no doubt whom she found most credible, portraying the board’s medical experts as hostile, one-sided and ill-informed. In the summer of 2001, Litzenberger dismissed all claims.”
“By then, a review article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine had credited John Epley as the inventor of the “treatment currently recommended” for positional vertigo. In clinical trials, about 90 percent of patients were cured by a single treatment. Doctors applying treatment around the world referred to it as the “Epley maneuver.”
Victory….
“At 76, Epley sees patients three days a week. He spends the two other days of the workweek at Vesticon. His daughter’s startup has already launched development of two of Epley’s other inventions.

2019 epilogue
Three years after this article was published on the front page of The Oregonian, Dr. John Epley had a stroke and retired. He died in July 2019.
